Whether you have tables in rows, groups or singles, put something on your board & go and sit on every chair Can you read the text? Are there obstructions? Are there distractors? If you’re expecting students to read/see from a board you need to check that it’s actually visible

@KTG_1990 @RogersHistory Her teachers are “figuring out how to manage her”… but using the behaviour system and issuing. Sanctions as appropriate. 😂

@RogersHistory Blatant failure of parenting. If you accept your child being rude to people, you're probably a pretty unpleasant person yourself

Separately, previous analysis by the EDT showed that: 50% of graduated schools have now been inspected by Ofsted. Of this number (167): -58% were judged ‘Requires Improvement’ prior to the Behaviour Hubs programme, -28% ‘Good’ -10% ‘Inadequate’. Post-graduation, of the 167 schools inspected: -62% are now ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ -77% of schools have a Behaviour & Attitudes judgement of ‘Good’ All credit to the lead and partner schools and all their staff for making this happen. And thank you to the advisors and the delivery team for being brilliant.

@KTG_1990 I think the discussion around knowledge based curriculums is interesting. I bang the drum about the dangerous mutation of direct instruction, which can lead to heavily didactic lessons, without opportunities for questioning, for pupils to apply knowledge or assessment.

🚨New Blog Post🚨 Have we gone too far down the knowledge rabbit hole? Are we spending enough time on application? Have we lost the "You Do" in "I Do, We Do, You Do"? Some reflections and practical solutions. kylegrahameducation.wordpress.com/2024/11/09/hav…

@InclusionKS3 Love I think is a strong word. Cringe, laugh may be more appropriate.

“If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same”. Blown away by the resilience and determination of Sir Chris Hoy this morning. Shortly after being told that he has between 2-4 years to live because of his terminal cancer… his lovely wife, Sarra, was diagnosed with MS. The man remains an incredible inspiration. Sending love to the whole family.
