Grosse Pointe Blank should have had 20 and 30 year sequels that would have been highly topical to me

@samspratlin It is so well shot, produced, and acted. The story is very stressful, but so well done.

I don’t quite get why people think The Bear fell off? It’s so well executed and a special type of show that lets you sit back and watch other people stress out about really mundane shit 😄

Update: I’m still here; I never left. In the last week or so, I’ve not been present in the community much, and there have been lots of comments, rumors, and fabrications about why this is. I wanted to address this head-on and let you all know where things stand. I have not quit, resigned, been fired, died, gone on vacation, slipped into a coma, been consumed by a ghost trap, or anything else. I’ve simply been working really hard, trying to get things done and across the finish line. When I first started, I needed to be present in the community not only to introduce myself, my thinking, and how I see the future of Kadena. That doesn’t include the vast amounts of learning I needed around the past issues with our community, products, team, and services. As time has passed, my day-to-day has changed, and I’m unable to be as present as I was in the past. Now, have I been extremely frustrated with the actions of some community members? You’re damn right. Have I been upset with how my team, our company, and I have been treated? Right again. Have I needed to step away from this nonsense because it’s incredibly time-consuming and taxing on me personally? Yeah, of course. I’m a human being, and I care greatly about this community, this company, and my family. BUT…This does not mean anything has changed. My team is growing, and we’ve added a number of new team members to help us in different ways, from content to creative to marketing operations and a few things in between. We’re bringing in 4 new moderators to help manage the community day-to-day. We’re hiring a prominent community member to manage our tech-focused channels and prioritize supporting Kadena builders more promptly. We’ve begun rebranding and creating new content around academy.kadena.io to provide ToDoMVC code for more experienced developers, introductory coursework for those new to Pact, and more advanced coursework for those already skilled at Solidity and Rust. MEW, Metamask, Hyperlane Bridge, full DeFi Strategy, Bonding, ZK Bridge, Opact Wallet, and more are all in development, audit, or waiting for launch. Beyond the Block is still in production, with a new episode next week. We’ve launched our “Grantee Spotlight” series, starting with Kadcars and a few other folks for whom we’ll announce grants soon. We continue to work on partnerships every day. We likely have more partnerships on our plate than bandwidth at this time, which is a fun problem to have. So we’re focusing on getting contracts signed, prioritizing the most important work, and building strategies. So again, nothing has changed from our side. We’re working harder than ever. Lastly, so that we’re crystal clear, we understand and hear everyone’s frustrations around the token price, negative comments, FUD, anyone else’s chart performance, etc. Still, we can’t simply drop everything we’re working on to react. I’m sorry if “XYZ” token is pumping and we’re not. I’m sorry if you think you know how to do this better than we do. I’m sorry if you think something someone said on the internet makes us look bad. I’m sorry if you think we don’t listen to the community, don’t care about investors, or that we have the worst market maker on the planet…I’m sorry, I really am. But none of those things change anything. While our heads are down and we’re working, our ears are open, and we’re still listening. We're doing the things we know how to do, and we're confident those things will help us win in the long term. The past is a place to learn, not live. While we can’t increase the token price with the snap of our fingers or force partnerships to close instantly, we will deliver on what we’ve promised and more. While some might view my absence over the last week or so as a sign of weakness, this little refresh fills me with more motivation to keep pushing. That's what I'm still here doing and what I will keep doing. I know what we have coming down the pipeline, the work our teams are putting in on the back end, the partners we're going to build alongside, and the strategies we're putting into place. I'm confident as hell we're on the right path, and I thank those who share in this confidence. I wish everyone the best, but I've got more work to do. Have a great night. 🫡

Funny, twice now I have tried to write a negative review of my new @HP printer on @BestBuy 's website and both times I get a "something went wrong" message when I hit submit. All my other product reviews (that were positive) went through fine...
