One of the gags is that Bob doesn’t actually save the day; Charlene saves herself w her training and risk-taking + an assist from the Native American fixer. Unclear if he even hits anybody when he’s shooting at Lockjaw’s camp. Gotta look up from your phone and watch the movie.

Let me DESTROY this misleading, attention-hungry and dangerous claim one more time. In which a breathing physiology illiterate lad revives a physiological trick that was already in fashion in Britain in the late…18th century, known as the “fainting lark.” The whole DMT release claim, also claimed by Wim Hof (I personally heard him mention it in Hawaii where we met at a special SEAL gathering), is hype and cool but also totally scientifically unsubstantiated (in other words it’s complete BS). There are documented cases where people died or suffered neurological injury. By all means please avoid doing it, even if you aren’t in water. Never ever do this while standing or worse, while driving a car… Even falling back from sitting when experiencing the high can be dangerous, you can hit your head hard and also end up in a supine airway obstruction risk (the tongue can partially obstruct the airway).

@GutOptimized If you want to get anal about it for large batches and things that roll 24+ hrs I do it in a stainless steel container with meat packed tight and just covered with water (or fat for confit), in theory some flavor loss vs sous vide but I wasn't able to tell with beef.

I got myself in a knot with all this stuff. Then I decided to forget about it, focus on getting nutrients I need, and then focus on detox/saunas. Is this a good approach? Time will tell.
