@CherFeldman @rchlparkbrayboy It’s the blue print for our new org.

@rchlparkbrayboy Check out this post admin.salesforce.com/blog/2022/admi…

Hey, #AwesomeAdmins, I'm getting ready to plan with my team in December. Below are the features my team covers. What is something you would like to see improved in my feature area? I can't guarantee it will make it to my roadmap, but curious as to what's on your mind.

English

@VivekMChawla @rsoesemann My experience is stakeholders demanding that functionality be moved to Retool because all they’ve seen on Salesforce is business logic written as DML automation with the save button as the UI.
English

Robert’s comment here is one of the most important early lessons every Salesforce developer should learn. 💯
Robert Sösemann@rsoesemann
It's even more true for a Low-Code platform like Salesforce where customers pay a ton of money to stay flexible. I see way too many @SalesforceDevs immediately building complex custom UI in Lightning when that native, declarative UI only covers 80% of the requirements.

@uxaholic @MeighanSF @OReillyMedia @SalesforceArchs @SalesforceDevs @JadeVBForce @joshbirk @MoyezThanawalla @larsniel I’m looking forward to reading this!
English

Pinch me. This is apparently really real. I'm apparently writing a book for O'Reilly. Yeah that @OReillyMedia . And it's in early release. #Salesforce @SalesforceArchs @SalesforceDevs @MeighanSF @JadeVBForce @joshbirk @MoyezThanawalla @larsniel oreilly.com/library/view/p…

@brianmfear @PhilW_SF @azlus @ImJohnMDaniel @rsoesemann @rakremi @SalesforceArchs @SalesforceDevs @burki_db I ended up removing the metadata from the old package to unpackaged metadata via the UI. Very painful one line item at a time. I then was able to install the new package with the same metadata in the org.
English

@muchavie @PhilW_SF @azlus @ImJohnMDaniel @rsoesemann @rakremi @SalesforceArchs @SalesforceDevs @burki_db You can't have overlapping metadata in your dependencies or installed packages (with a few limited exceptions). You have to move the metadata from A to B, build new versions of A and B, and install those new versions A and B, in that order.
English

Completely agree w/@rsoesemann on this. @rakremi and @azlus have done an amazing job detailing the principles of how to compose enterprise class applications. So many good nuggets of information here and definitely worth every @SalesforceArchs and @SalesforceDevs time. #DF22

Practical wisdom from Top-of-the-edge experts. This is what makes @Dreamforce - beyond marketing and party - a real conference. Sessions like the one about Decomposing the Happy Soup & Packaging at Scale. Thanks @rakremi & @azlus from @dxatscale. You rock! salesforce.com/plus/experienc…

@brianmfear @PhilW_SF @azlus @ImJohnMDaniel @rsoesemann @rakremi @SalesforceArchs @SalesforceDevs @burki_db I’m rebuilding some unlocked packages in dxatscale today. I was wondering how I would do this. Sounds like last package to install a piece of metadata wins
English

@PhilW_SF @azlus @ImJohnMDaniel @rsoesemann @rakremi @SalesforceArchs @SalesforceDevs @burki_db That FAQ is outdated. You can move metadata from one Unlocked Package to another without ever using a browser, much less the Salesforce UI. Move file(s) from A to B, create a new A version, new B version, install new A version, install new B version. I may make a video on that.

@nodeschoolsf So sad! I was looking forward to this! Good luck with October!

@JohnBauters @cw4emeryville @EmeryvilleDi @SFBayFerry There’s a small craft advisory due to wind. Maybe conditions are out side the ferrys safety limits?

@mattyglesias The Land Rover Defender behind it gets a pass. Those are cool.

I'm a sucker for eye candy. I just with Salesforce would stop renaming this product! Just earned the CRM Analytics Basics badge on @Trailhead and you should too! trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/…
English

@rsoesemann I think we should have a reporting tool which does not rely on repot types.
English

Ohh @RealEvanPonter. I thank you soo much for giving the frustration, I feel when accidentally working with Standard Reporting, a voice. And solution. Incredibly helpful and well-structured and presented session at #YD22 youtu.be/sE4Nd2js16Q

@aoristdual Good test design is an outgrowth of the engineering culture. Salesforce mythology says that you can build software without engineers so it’s a battle to build an engineering culture but I think that’s the path.
English

@aoristdual Let me suggest: percent code coverage. High code coverage is a result of good testing but high code coverage does not mean that the tests are good.
