Shell Graduate Programme 2026
They won't take many people, unlike NNPC and co, maybe maximum of 40.
But worth the try if you are competitive.
It's a life changing opportunity. And merit-driven, too.

@BashirAhmaad You have to see from his perspective of aircraft maintenance and the fact that we dont produce aircraft parts. They have to be flown in at humongous price. The mortality rate of aircraft in Nigeria is scary. We cant afford to hear an aircraft develop mechanical fault mid-air.

In this country, anyone who seeks to inflict pain on ordinary people will conjure up any lie to justify it. It is highly unlikely that a one-hour commercial flight should cost $400, anywhere in Europe or in the Americas. Typical one-hour commercial flight costs in Europe are around $50 in economy or even less. There was a time I paid $36 from London to Edinburgh which takes roughly 1 hour 20 minutes.
By contrast, Africa, particularly Nigeria, endures the most expensive flight fares in the world. Just last year, in December, I paid merely $120 for an almost six-hour flight from Shanghai to Singapore. Yet here at home, a domestic flight of less than one hour from Lagos to Abuja will most likely cost around $200 during the peak season.

Nigerians Are Paying the Cheapest Domestic Air Fares in the World - Onyema A one-hour flight costs over $400 abroad, but in Nigeria, we still have tickets for N125,000, which is less than $60. This is why the mortality rate of airlines in Nigeria is very high; over 80 airlines have come and gone. Allen Onyema, Chairman & CEO, Air Peace

What are you seeing that they are not seeing?..How do they become richer and realise their dreams in your very country that you think is inhospitable and poor?

Nigeria is the third largest export market for U.S. wheat. Consul General Rick Swart and U.S. Agricultural Counselor Chris Bielecki visited the Apapa Port in Lagos to observe the unloading of 50,000 metric tons of U.S. grown wheat with a value of about $15 million.
The wheat was purchased by Flour Mills of Nigeria, one of the largest importers of U.S. wheat in Nigeria. U.S. agricultural trade with Nigeria supports American farmers, helps Nigerian businesses create jobs in value added agricultural processing, and provides Nigerian consumers with high quality food ingredients.
In 2025, U.S.-Nigeria agricultural trade is on track to more than double to over $700 million, benefiting farmers, businesses, and consumers on both sides of the Atlantic.

I want to thank National Security Advisor @NuhuRibadu for a productive and positive conversation with the US Congressional delegation to Nigeria.
There were concrete steps and actions discussed at length, that if fully executed, I believe will enhance security across the country for all Nigerians, disrupt and destroy terrorist organizations in the northeast and stop the killing of Christians (a specific concern for @POTUS and myself) - particularly in the Middle Belt of the country.
I want to thank the Nigerian government and @officialABAT for rescuing the 100 innocent and precious Catholic school children. This is a positive demonstration of the government’s increasing response to the security situation and shows commitment to the emergency declaration laid out by President Tinubu.
The US’ sense of urgency on our concerns was positively received. I feel that a cooperative security framework is within sight. The now established joint task force between Nigeria and the US is a great example.
It is clear that there is an openness and willingness on the part of the Nigerian government to work with the United States to tackle these critical issues. Now, that openness has to translate to concrete action.
There is much work still to be done, but things are moving in the right direction. I look forward to the next steps with Nigerian government and the continued open dialogue.
Peace be with you all. God bless the great people of Nigeria.

@HQNigerianArmy "Neutralize the fleeing terrorists" and "the terrorists dispersed". Just like these two phrases from paragraph 3 and 4, overall statement is well written but by a numbskull. How many were neutralized and arrested!? Until there is answer, this statement in its entirety is flawed.

PRESS RELEASE
TROOPS THWART MASSIVE TERRORIST NIGHT ATTACK ON CHIBOK COMMUNITIES
Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully thwarted a planned midnight attack on Chibok communities in Borno State. The attack, launched by over 300 terrorists from multiple fronts, began at about 0250 hours (2:50 a.m.) today and was decisively defeated through swift intelligence, tactical manoeuvre and superior firepower by troops of 28 Task Force Brigade.
The troops, who were on alert, detected early enemy movement, enabling them to quickly assume battle positions and engage the terrorists from multiple fronts. The fierce firefight lasted for over two hours, during which the gallant soldiers held their ground firmly and prevented the terrorists from breaching the security of the adjoining towns.
The terrorists, on observing the break of day, started a disorderly withdrawal towards the Azir axis into the Sambisa Forest, attempting to cross the Main Supply Route Damboa–Biu. In response, 25 Brigade was tasked to occupy pre-designated ambush positions ahead of Azir Bridge to cut off and neutralize the fleeing terrorists, with guidance provided by a Nigerian Army Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI deployed a Super Tucano aircraft and as the advancing interdiction forces closed in, the terrorists dispersed. Troops subsequently disrupted their withdrawal. No personnel or equipment was lost, underscoring the high level of combat readiness, professionalism and resilience displayed by the forces involved.
While exploitation operations in and around Chibok remain ongoing, the Nigerian Army assures the public that concerted efforts are being intensified to track down escaping elements and deny them freedom of movement. The footage of the mass withdrawal of terrorists after the failed attack has been obtained and is being analyzed for further operational action.
The Nigerian Army reaffirms its relentless commitment to defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
