@AdrianDittmann In Foundation and Dune the emperors had power because they had a monopoly on space travel. Current day, SpaceX is the only entity (gov or private) that can reliably put heavy loads into space. Having a leg up to access the resources of new frontiers is how empires are built.

Starfield was Day 1 on Gamepass (thus "free" with an existing subscription) but like $70 on Steam. So the vast majority (like me with 200+ hours) played it on GP. But then people use the Steam only numbers to clown on it? Only serious modders and Steam purists played it on Steam. F* BGS, but this is a broken vector.

@Thabisani @dhoscovi @cb_doge Or China has DOCUMENTED extreme censorship unlike the other dozens of countries Starlink operate in, including NATO countries and EU/Western Europe/Scandinavia with some of the best citizen rights that has no such concerns regarding privacy and security?

@munky_82 @dhoscovi @cb_doge They declined Starlink because it’s a security threat to China and any nation it operates in. A telecom company is essentially a data collecting company.

BREAKING: South Africa is allowing Amazon Leo to launch through Herotel and evry, while Starlink is still blocked. Elon Musk was offered approval if Starlink pretended that a Black frontman ran Starlink South Africa and paid a bribe to dodge the rules. He refused on principle. South Africa’s government enforces racist BEE rules that require 30% Black ownership. Starlink: ~10,700 active satellites, 12M+ customers, and availability across 160+ countries Amazon Leo: 394 satellites, no commercial customers, and no commercial service operating anywhere yet Yet South Africa has created a path for the far smaller, unproven network while keeping the world’s most established satellite internet system out. This is not empowerment. It is regulatory self-sabotage, and South Africans are the ones paying the price.

@dhoscovi @cb_doge Except China did not say no to Musk. In fact, they allowed Tesla to build a factory WITHOUT the standard government co-ownership China demands. This led to the development of a local supply chain specialised for EVs. Now China is the largest EV manufacturer in the world.

@pookiepolls @AdriaanBasson @News24 He is one of those white people that feels bad that he was lucky to be born into some semblance of generational stability and growth. So to alleviate his guilt for something that was outside his control he adopted internalised racism.

It’s fascinating to see how much of a shit hole Elon turned this website into when you see all the AI/bots/extreme nuts in the replies to my Tweet about a great movie… Reminder: X isn’t a real place. It’s a complete cesspool of garbage you read

I just had the honor of seeing The Odyssey early in 70mm IMAX… That was one of the greatest cinematic experiences I’ve ever had. Epic from start to finish. A masterpiece.

The same government that destroyed the South African post office (one of the oldest communication technologies in history), now wants to try its hand at satelite communication. What could possibly go wrong?

-A movie just got released called Citizen Vigilante -The main character is a brothel owner who is sick of unchecked migrant crime so he becomes a vigilante and starts killing migrants -The main character is played by Armie Hammer, the actor who got cancelled for having a cannibal fetish and texting girls that he was going to eat them -It's directed by Uwe Boll -Leftists online were saying that the movie was obviously supposed to "lampoon and mock the right wing" but then Uwe Boll himself (without even being tagged) starts replying to them all saying "No it's not I am being deadly serious". -It has already been banned in Germany Reality has gotten so fucking silly in the most hilarious way.

@Nerdrotics These studios seriously need to do media training for these young actresses. They obviously have a charmed life being young, rich and famous and so are too dumb to realise the world is bigger than sycophants calling them pretty and smart all the time.
