Governor @HonKangata used county resources to try and “woo” Members of Parliament, then turned around and started pressing the President for the Deputy President seat. The President, however, didn’t budge an inch. Without shame, Irungu Kang'ata used county bursary funds to bribe people to propose his name as DP, money meant for bursaries for needy children within the county of Murang’a. With that same energy, he should go to the media and tell the people of Murang’a County exactly what he did with the bursary money, and also explain the millions paid for PR and media campaigns to position himself as Deputy President. Instead of all that political ambition and headline chasing, he could have simply focused on building a better family home. Because at the end of the day, it is quite something when someone is trying to climb to the nation’s top political office, yet the condition of his own family home still becomes the quiet political statement no press briefing can spin.

@WehliyeMohamed A simple check will prove that atleast 80% of the public schools have additional fees items. AGHS case is fishy.

The 53k national schools fee is academic & mostly government PR - to make it look sec education is affordable. When government itself does not pay the 22k capitation on time. Most national schools charge far more than the govt stipulated fee. Go beyond AGH and audit. Try Mangu.

@JuliusKBitok Hit "Gemba" and notice how distant you're from the reality. Capitation? Never sent on time, not in full, not revised to take care of inflation! Whoever wants to prove, let them do business with public schools because the national government is funding education sector so well.

1. The approved Capitation for primary school is capped at Ksh 1,400 per year. The funds are usually released by the National Treasury to the Ministry of Education on termly basis in the ratio of 50:30:20. 2. The capitation amount is arrived at based on clear expenditure lines (vote heads) that are determined by estimated costs incurred by EACH learner. 3. Upon receipt of the money, and based on the exact amount received, MoE releases the funds with an accompanying circular detailing the expenditure breakdown (vote heads). 4. The figures in reference to the circular are based on this practice. 5. In summary, MoE wishes to clarify the following: • MoE determines how much money is allocated to each vote head based on the total amount of capitation received from the National Treasury • Capitation funds are released on three phases corresponding to the school calendar terms • The circular in reference is based on the 2nd term tranche as received from National Treasury. • The amounts shown are per learner, not per school -The KSh 95.25 PER LEARNER is for learning materials only (books, stationery, etc.) -The KSh 93.08 PER LEARNER for school operations (staff, maintenance, utilities, exams) @EduMinKenya @_BasicEdu

@WehliyeMohamed Which National school survives on 54K ? NONE! Public education is in a mess, the capitation is more on paper, neither timely nor released in full. That said, the increment should be maneagble.

I pay fees re Alliance Girls. The official annual fees (national boarding schools) is 54K but we've paying over 100k p.a. Before we condemn the school, we need to ask; Is 53k sufficient for a national boarding school? Do the schools get the 22K govt capitation in time?

@baroswahjr MoE is being lazy or this is a "special" target. A research in ALL C1 National schools will show them it cuts across board, they shouldn't focus one, let them fix all.

At Alliance Girls, it's not just the Principal who is in hot soup. The CS Education is going for the entire board. Raising school fees from 53K to 160K is crazy. But looking at what made it get to that figure is crazier. 1. Moral and Spiritual activities - Kshs 1,100,000 2. Annual trips - Kshs 16,000,000 3. Prize Giving/Speeches - Kshs 13,000,000 4. Prize vouchers/sweets/examiners - Kshs 5,000,000 5. Airtime /administrative allowance - Kshs 3,000,000 On 16th October 2025, the board approved a Kshs 25,000,000 staff trip to Dubai. You can guess where the money was to come from.

Dear @SafaricomPLC @Safaricom_Care this is utmost inconvenience for users of Mpesa outside the country. You have logged out all of us and the only way to login again is to have the Safaricom network connected, which doesn’t work on roaming. One had to wait to come to Ke so they can activate the app. Now tell me, what do you want me to do with the money in my mpesa? How will i continue using it?? Huge disappointment!

Do you remember CUCU CONTRACTOR?.. Ol Kalou town is clean today because of this lady, she was nicknamed Cucu Contractor for her tremendous work in the county and its such a shame because she died because of unpaid bills from the County Government by the then Governor Kimemia. Hannah Ndugire was in 2021 rescued by neighbours while trying to commit suicide. She later on died while battling depression since the County Government of Nyandarua led by the Gov Kimemia refused to pay her Ksh139M for cabro & paving work done in Ol Kalou town.

Is it possible that CS Opiyo Wandayi didn't know anything about this irregular fuel shipment into the country and if so does it demonstrate how offcials in his ministry makes monumental decisions bypassing him? The said fuel shipment aboard MV Paloma was rerouted from Angola to Kenya. It docked at the Port of Mombasa. From the preliminary investigations, it bypassed official importation and procurement procedures. The fuel then entered the market illegally without inspection and quality assurance procedures. And where are KRA people at the Port and KEBS people at the Port in all this?

So let’s do an honest review about NISSAN SERENA because weuuh..it can easily send you Sayuni. When we got this unit, we were warned. Properly warned. You know those warnings people give you and you think they are just exaggerating or hating? Those ones. Even one guy told us, “there is nothing bad that has not already been said about this car.” We still went ahead… biashara ni biashara. In fact everyday there's a neighbor who used to be like " Good morning, how's serena?" Even @kamauwaruhiu warned me. For a while, everything seemed okay. The car was running, it was comfortable, it looked good in the fleet, and honestly, it gave that premium, stable feel on the road that clients love. So one day, we had a chauffeured trip from Nairobi to Kisumu. Before the trip, the car had been checked, serviced, everything done properly fluids, diagnostics, all the usual long-distance prep. Clean. Trip kwenda Kisumu ilikuwa smooth. No issues. Now on the way back… around 9pm, the driver calls and says, “Gari imechemka, nimeongeza coolant.” We’re like, okay, that’s manageable, just monitor it. A few kilometers later… another call. “Gari imekataa kabisa.” No warning. No gradual signs. Just… dead. At that point, the priority is the client, not even the car. So we call a friend in Kisumu who is also a car hire guy....guy comes through in a big way, swaps his Prado with our unit within like 40 minutes just to make sure the client continues comfortably. Now the real story starts. Mechanic comes in. They work on it through the night. Radiator, sensors, hybrid system, wiring… all those Nissan things you hear about but never fully understand until they happen to you. Morning comes “gari iko sawa.” We pay the bill. They try to start it… it refuses again. Day two, the whole day is spent in the garage. More diagnosis, more parts, more costs. Evening comes “now it’s finally okay.” They try to travel at night… another issue again. Something leaking. Long story short, that one car kept someone in Kisumu for five days. Five days of back and forth with mechanics, sleepless nights, calls every hour, unexpected costs, and you’re still expected to run normal operations elsewhere. By the time it was done we had fallen in love with mmechanic. Eventually the car comes back. We do full diagnostics again. Everything reads fine. We even park it for almost two weeks just to be sure we are not exposing clients to unnecessary risk. Then Safari Rally season comes, and a client insists on taking it. We release it, cautiously. Mid-journey overheating. They refill coolant. After a few hours overheating again. At that point, we’re literally telling them, “tafadhali just drive it pole pole, don’t push it.” The car somehow survives the trip and comes back. So we decide to test it ourselves. Expressway. You press the accelerator… RPM inapanda vizuri, but the car is not responding the same way. Speed and engine response are just not matching. Then you hit a slight incline… and that’s when it really shows you character. That’s when it became very clear this is not a car you keep in a fleet if you value peace of mind. And the most frustrating part is that there is never one clear diagnosis. It’s always trial and error, sensors, hybrid system checks, guesswork… and every single attempt costs time and money. Maintenance becomes expensive, downtime becomes unpredictable, and the stress of not knowing when the next issue will come is honestly not worth it. To be fair, it is a very comfortable car. It’s stable, it feels solid on the road, and clients enjoy the ride. But from a business perspective? After about two months… we removed it from the fleet. Now we fully understand those stories people share about certain cars sometimes they are not exaggerating. Nissan Serena hybrid… it will humble you 😅 Anyway… for car hire and lease services talk to us 📞 0723 630 231 🌐 gowheels.co.ke.

Some of the Cabinet Secretaries (about 6 to 7) in H.E Ruto's Cabinet are soo low key and probably incompetent that you don't hear of them at all. They are AWOL. Many Kenyans genuinely feel these Cabinet offices have been vacant for the past three years. These low key/absentee CSs come in office in the morning, read newspapers, have tea/mandasi, make telephone calls to friends and relatives, eat lunch & then go back home. I'm not being spiteful...I'm honestly asking...do we have "substantive" CSs in the ministries of Environment, Gender, Labour, water, East Africa Community, Agriculture...And why isnt H.E Ruto not making REAL appointments to run these critical ministries?

The director of Movata Designs, Maureen Mwende Mutua, visited my residence today accompanied by her parents to discuss on her payments. We had an open and productive conversation, and I want to assure the public that Movata Designs will be paid as per the procedures in accordance with the established procedures. This ensures that all payments are handled transparently, fairly, and in line with the law. Maureen, my dear, all will be well. Mama is proud of your courage and maturity to resolve this matter amicably.
