lmaoo if what you’re saying is that i should have sugarcoated, then yeah i often do a very awful job of it. then if anybody finds my truth “dehumanizing”, they need to look inside themselves and abhor the concept of bride price alongside myself instead of finding it hurtful that i told the obvious truth.👍🏾 it is FACT that a woman is living at someone’s mercy if they have her “price”, now if women hate the sound of living at someone’s mercy, they should avoid bride price culture. lastly, i have no business being misogynistic, i love women, if i ever sound misogynistic, then i probably have bluntly said a truth when im expected to care about how the women feel about that truth.

I’ve legit seen a wife who hasn’t had sex with her husband in 5 years be genuinely shocked and crushed that he’s having an affair. This level of cognitive dissonance is bugged out to me 🤣

@ThaBoyYom @iamkolade_ Now the ask is that seats be reserved for them at every level of government just because, as if to denigrate the efforts of those who are currently fighting and sacrificing to attain said positions. The argument, they are better managers.

I clocked something.. Rent is always paid for, nobody notices that the DSTV subscription hasn’t gone off since, nobody notices that the kids haven’t stayed home since they started schooling, nobody notices how the cooking gas is always filled when it finishes, notice how there’s always light in the house even with the crazy units, there’s always fuel in gen when there’s no light. Nobody appreciates the Man SPECIALLY for all these.. it’s seen as “that’s his job”.. he gets no special props for it. . . . . But the moment you ask why there’s no food in the kitchen and/or why the kitchen is dirty.. It becomes “You think it’s easy to cook and clean, appreciate and support her” Women want appreciation, support and incentives for their roles, while a Man wanting support for his own role is “not Man enough”. + When the Man supports her role, “He’s doing it for his family” When the Woman supports his role, “She’s doing it for HER MAN”(and not for the family) These are the issues… Men need to clock so many things and start speaking up more to regulate these narratives… we can’t continue keeping quiet.. na beg I dey beg una.

I sent a 2-page rant about management to 643 employees because Outlook auto-filled the wrong “All Staff.” I knew my career was over before the email even finished sending. The crazy part is nobody disagreed with anything I wrote. Not even management.

For months now, many @aedcelectricity Band A customers have struggled to get even 12 hours of electricity daily, yet we continue paying premium tariffs meant for a minimum 20-hour supply. By NERC’s own regulations, feeders that fail to meet the required supply for 7 consecutive days are supposed to be downgraded and customers compensated. Instead, silence. No enforcement. No accountability. No response to customers anymore. At this point, the Nigerian Bar Association @NigBarAssoc or public interest lawyers seriously need to challenge this impunity legally. @NERCNG is completely non-existent.

My friend and I arrived at the theater early to get the absolute best seats for a highly anticipated premier - dead center, eye-level with the screen. We had our popcorn, our drinks, and twenty minutes to spare before the trailers started. Ten minutes later, a family of four walked in. The theater was completely packed by then. The mother scanned the crowd, spotted us, and marched right up the steps. "Hi," she said, flashing a bright, customer-service smile. "My kids really want to sit together, but the only open seats left are scattered in the front row. Could you two move down to the very front so we can have your row?" The front row of this theater was notorious. It was so close to the screen you had to crane your neck at a 90-degree angle just to see the actors' chin follicles. "No, thank you," I said simply. Her smile vanished. "It’s for my children. Don't you have any decency? They’ve been looking forward to this movie all week." "So have we," I replied, taking a sip of my drink. "Next time, you should look forward to it a little earlier." She scoffed, muttered something about "miserable people," and had to drag her kids down to the front row. We enjoyed the movie at perfect eye level.

Thieves came to rob the bank in the community and mistakenly dropped a bag of money while escaping. Mama Tee grabbed this bag while nobody is looking and took it home. Inside she found N10 million. She knows she couldn't spend this 10 million because everyone knows she's poor. Everyone would suspect her is she suddenly bought a car or opened a store. So she starts selling oranges on the street. But she didn't stop there because she needs to get rich fast. She made a deal with some people to get a lot of people to come buy oranges from her. Also, instead of selling each orange the normal price of N10, she paid thousand of people to come buy it at N100 each with the money she stole. Everyone gets paid N10 in the background for buying one orange, which is 10% cleaning rate. At the end of the day, she'll end up selling N10 million naira worth of oranges, and after paying off the 10%, she gets 9 million of clean and legal money. Now she can spend this money freely and nobody can arrest or suspect her. Do you understand it now?
