@iainoverton @FCDOGovUK Each passenger paid £500 per flight. They still had to make their own way to the airport etc. emirates flight cost me £441.00 and I am not an Emirate National! And their start to end service to me was outstanding. Thank you Emirates Airlines x

@FCDOGovUK How much did this cost the British taxpayer and what % of those on the flight "getting back to the UK" were on holiday/business trips in Dubai and what % have residency in that zero-tax city?

A massive shout-out to Emirates Airlines. I am forever grateful to you for bringing my daughter home from Dubai today.
The British Government wasn’t able to help us despite her being a minor and alone out there. I tried daily since the war began, but got nowhere. They even classed her as “vulnerable”, yet told me it was my responsibility to get her to Oman — a 500 km journey on her own using ground transport — while I was trying to sort everything from the UK. What they also failed to mention was that my daughter actually has to be 18 to cross the border alone.
Yes, your phone lines had long waiting times, but when your agents answered they were absolutely amazing. They maintained a high standard of service and did everything they could to help bring my daughter home safely.
The icing on the cake: your flights were cheaper than what the British Government is charging its own citizens to bring them home.
I was a loyal BA customer for 20 years. I hoped my country’s airline might help me or my daughter, but that loyalty clearly meant nothing. I’ve used Emirates only a couple of times in my life compared to more than 100 flights with BA.
From today, that changes. I will be an Emirates customer for life, and my children will be flying with you too.
Your aircraft took off on time, arrived on time, and there were no issues with baggage delays or losses. Considering you are operating during such a difficult time, bringing people home from Dubai to destinations around the world — that’s truly impressive.
Emirates, we ❤️ you. Thank you.

@British_Airways How does a minor travel 400kms from Dubai to Muscat? In order to get a flight home?

@_BritishHelpHub Hello thank you for the update. My daughter is in Dubai and we have a flight booked for 12 March 2026. This was booked months ago. I would appreciate it if she left much earlier than the 12th because she is a Minor and there on her own. Can you help us please? Thanks
