@novikoff @brianlichliter @ideasondesign That's one method of onboarding, sure. But really it's about leading users to their "aha" moment to recognize your product's value, and there are many other ways to do that that don't involve intro screens

Do you really need onboarding? Ideally, people can understand your app or game simply by experiencing it. If not, onboarding can’t solve this problem.

@novikoff @ideasondesign Zelda games have onboarding though no? Easy intro to the game where you slowly learn the controls and what things do. It just “feels” native to the experience.
