Kimi K3 is the best performing model on nextjs.org/evals, ahead of Fable, reaching a comparable success rate in less time.
This is the first time that an open model is ahead of all proprietary ones for this comprehensive web engineering benchmark.
Notes:
▪️ Benchmarks don’t always tell the full story, although this is important signal, adding to mounting evidence that this could be a breakthrough moment for open models
▪️ No model as of yet has reached 100% completion on this set of evals. The top performer peaks at 92% and 96% “with help”

Can't believe that a company (OpenAI) finally took the courage to ask its users what works for their workflow instead of resetting limits at an arbitrary 5h window.
Tibo@thsottiaux
We've had no 5h limit in Codex plus and pro for a few days. Do you think it is better or are you finding it difficult to manage the usage included in the weekly limit effectively? If we were to make this different, what should it look like in an ideal world?

@onlinedopamine I ask you, you've been to so many places, so what's the best one?

being a digital nomad is a fabolous experience, esp in your twenties, but it has fucked me in a serious way
after almost 10 years living abroad, first as a master's student, then expat, and now nomad, i finally had enough
in recent weeks, i've been looking at places to settle down for at least a year
however, whether it's taxes, the wheather, or whatever other stupid factors my mind makes up, something isn't good enough
you start freaking out about things you might miss out on and that one path taken means so many others being closed
what's worse is that i have found this to be also extending to my interpersonal relationships
because of the fleeting nature of this lifestyle, it's incredbly hard establishing long lasting relationships
which means you will date a lot and therefore, over time, start looking for the best bits and pieces of every person you ever interacted with
and because you are constantly chasing sugar highs through new locations and social interactions, you can seriously fry your dopamine reward system
it's almost like being a drug addict where you are still chasing that high, yet every new fix gets less and less exciting
meanwhile, the longer you go on with this, the worse it gets as you further and further remove yourself from what you think is a "normal" life
curious how you guys have dealt with this? when did you slow down & what made you decide to?
(btw, i am not asking for any sympathies, this was all written from a position of extreme privilege, and is merely just a warning for anyone thinking of traveling long term or considering slowing down their DN journey)

@usman_builds @pcshipp How does it compare to claude models? Never used DeepSeek
English

@pcshipp Tbh man i hear alot that gemma 4 is a dumb model however its API key is cheap but i would suggest you to use DeepSeek V4 pro or flash as i use them and they are fantastic tbh.
And their pricing is so affordable and cheap like you get almost 100M+ tokens for only $2

I think people prefer projects (commercial or not) that get most resources from their maintainers.
Even in npm, you usually consider a package that's been updated more recently than an abandoned one.
Will@athcanft
one app doing $20K MRR or five apps doing $3K MRR?

@JinjingLiang So, think rationally, know when to stop 🪦
and ship more products
