When @SadiqKhan was first elected in 2016, experts said it would take 193 years to bring London’s air within legal limits. Thanks to ULEZ and other transformative policies, we’ve done it in just 9 YEARS !

The Labour Party, the PM and the Chancellor are all leaving Annual Conference in Liverpool in an immeasurably stronger position than we arrived on Saturday. What a great few days!

Pro-Pals took over the streets of central London last night. Set off fireworks in the busiest parts. Chanted for Israel’s destruction. And I don’t see a single police officer. So do racist thugs run our capital now? It’s like a nightmare dystopia. @metpoliceuk

Both of these are not suitable for the role of deputy prime minister. How would you describe these two in one word?

@GoodwinMJ @ZiaYusufUK 5 in 6 are British who need welfare support, so stop your ridiculous scare statements. Welfare support is there for any person who needs support.

Astonishing, insane numbers: “Last year, the British taxpayer spent £266bn on welfare. £52bn of that went on Universal Credit. Of that, almost £9bn went to foreign nationals. 1 in 6 people on Universal Credit is a foreign national” — @ZiaYusufUK in Telegraph

ABSOLUTE GOLD: A comment from a Telegraph reader 👇 All Rayner has done was ask her cabinet colleagues for advice. She started with the ex transport minister but then realised she was a fraudster, she tried the chancellor for economic advice, however she lied on her CV, so she turned to the Business secretary who after all was a solicitor, but it turns out he also liar and was never a solicitor Perhaps the minister for corruption could help, but no, she was ousted for corruption. Her last hope was the minister for homelessness, who herself resigned due to making people homeless So Ange the housing minister, who could afford the best information available, thought, let's try and get away with a few quid, £40k to be precise!! This government is rotten to the core, and it starts with Lord Alli's mate, Starmer. The organisation works as a shadow of the leader *Credit to Howard Nichols 👏👏

This is the London Banana. As long as you stay within the Banana, you'll have a great time in London. Almost everything outside the Banana is horrible these days, best avoid. Not clear why, or when this happened. But it is what it is.

@MansurQr @Keir_Starmer The bus fare cap rose from £2 to £3 in January 2025, under Keir Starmer's government. Therefore bus fare costs have actually risen for families.

Our Plan for Change is about putting working people first. The £3 bus fare cap has already cut costs for families. We’re extending it — making travel simpler, cheaper and better for everyone.
