@thetrainline Hi! I'm trying to get a refund on an advanced single ticket for travel on Sat 12th Aug on a service which was cancelled. The app is showing the service as cancelled, but when I make the claim I get a message saying no refund info has been received. Can you help?

@mysocalledsocks @AvantiWestCoast I am sorry to hear that this happened, Peter. I can see we did not have ticket acceptance with Avanti for this train so station staff did get this wrong. Did your daughter purchase a new ticket or did she get off the train? ^Mariel

@TPEassist Hi! TPE staff at Man. Piccadilly assured my daughter she could user her TPE advanced single on other routes when her train to Edinburgh was cancelled. She has now been told by @AvantiWestCoast to buy a new ticket or get off at the next stop. Who was right them or you?

@thetrainline We spoke to GA staff at Liverpool Street and they have allowed us to travel on an earlier service without additional cost. This removes the need for a lengthy wait at Ipswich as the previous connecting train is still running. Thanks for you reply 😀

@mysocalledsocks Hi Peter, thanks for getting in touch. If you have Advance tickets and your service is cancelled, your tickets are valid to travel with the same operator on the next available train without rebooking. I hope this helps. Take care,

@thetrainline Hi! I have an advanced single ticket for travel today from Liverpool Street to Thurston. The ticket tells me that I must travel on the 12:00 service from LST to IPS. But my connecting train to Thurston is now showing as cancelled. Can I change without paying extra?
