I started 2026 with great optimism, hoping I’d become a millionaire.
Less than a month later, I got evicted.
Then I got an eye infection that kept me in bed on my birthday.
My girlfriend broke up with me.
The entire world seems to have gone mad.
Now I’m just trying to roll with the punches, keep myself busy and not lose my mind.
Almost everything I used to care about or gave me hope for the future is gone.
I find my refuge in AI and podcast interviews.
I moved back in my mother’s place, in the same room where 10 years ago I returned from university in a complete state of confusion because I didn’t know what to do next.
Except that now I’m older, fatter, angrier at the world, and more frustrated.
So I spend my days building something for the sake of it, because it gives me the feeling that I’m learning and growing beyond my comfort zone.
I rarely go out, but I try to spend more time with my parents and grandparents. For most of my adult life, I ran away from them – telling myself that I’m better and I will make it big somewhere else.
Well, I’m back to square one.
Right now, even if I did in fact become a millionaire, I wouldn’t find any enjoyment in it.
In the absence of a greater purpose or reason, I sort of find enjoyment in the grind. It makes me calm, it keeps me busy.
My only concern is that this is the perfect recipe for dying alone. But in the end, we all get what we deserve.
VLAD HOSTS THE BEST PODCAST IN BITCOIN@Vladcostea
2026 will be the year when I become a millionaire: 1 million downloads for Bitcoin Takeover podcast 1 million Twitter impressions on my posts Hopefully $1 million dollars too 🤑 I plan to achieve it by doing more of the same, but more efficiently!

@Vladcostea Listen to this on repeat for at least 2 weeks vlad, helped me through very hard times and always came back stronger, good luck man, stay strong, life is a miracle ☀️🤟🏼

@AlexFinn Which smaller model can you recommend, i only have 100gb🙏🏼

Bad news: Claude Mythos is out and you can't use it sucker. It's too dangerous in your hands.
Good news: I just downloaded GLM 5.1 onto my Mac Studio, and it's by far the best open source model I've ever used
Crushing every task I give it compared to Qwen and Gemma.
Faster too
I have it scraping the web and putting together content and playbooks for me every minute of the day
Working nonstop. Costs me literally $0. Also is very strong at coding too
Is it Opus 4.6? No, but it's getting closer. And nobody can lobotomize it or lower my limits or take it away from me
A 24/7/365 employee that never eats, sleeps, or complains. Just works. For free.
The greatest technology in the history of this species should be democratized, not gatekept. And that's what the open source community is doing right now
The people who bought hardware are prepared for the future. The people attacking the people with hardware are on the wrong side of history.
Superintelligence on your desk is within reach.

I put my entire local Claude Code setup into ONE Notion doc
4 steps. No fluff.
- How to install Ollama and get it running in under 5 minutes
- Which model to pull based on your machine specs (30b, 7b, or 2b)
- How to redirect Claude Code away from Anthropic's servers to your local instance
- How to start Claude Code fully local with zero API costs and zero data sent externally
This is the setup I would have KILLED for before burning API budget on automations that never needed to leave my machine.
Like + comment "CODE" and I'll send it over
(must be connected for priority access)

Meanwhile: self-hosted nodes already exist.

8 Claude Code hacks worth knowing:
1. plan[.]md before any code
plan spawns research agents that analyze your codebase, past bugs, and conventions in parallel. writes a structured plan with acceptance criteria. work executes it. context dies between sessions, the plan[.]md survives. 80% planning, 20% coding.
2. voice instead of typing
Monologue or WhisperFlow pipes speech directly into Claude Code. transcription doesn't need to be perfect, Claude understands context. you can dictate from your car, from meetings, from anywhere.
3. 4-6 sessions running at once
separate Ghostty windows. one is planning, one is building from a finished plan, one is researching, one is fixing a bug. cycle between them. this only works if permissions are bypassed (next point).
4. three settings that change everything
→ bypassPermissions: true so sessions run without asking "allow?" every action
→ sound hook on Stop so you hear when a session finishes
→ Zed autosave at 500ms, Claude edits a file, it appears in Zed instantly. feels like Google Docs with an AI collaborator.
5. research before you plan
last30days (his open-source tool, 4.5K stars) scans Reddit, X, YouTube, HN in parallel. feed the output into plan so decisions are based on what the community says right now, not 6-month-old training data.
6. meetings → plan[.]md
records conversations with Granola, pastes full transcript into Claude Code. it cross-references against the codebase + every prior strategy doc and outputs a full product proposal. hired someone off a plan generated from a lunch conversation.
7. plan files for everything
strategy docs, competitive analysis, go-to-market plans, even this article. same workflow: voice → Claude → iterate in Zed. each new plan benefits from all prior ones.
8. Mac Mini + tmux + Telegram
sends plan commands from phone via Telegram. tmux keeps sessions alive through wifi drops, shipped features on a transatlantic flight. plan was waiting in Zed when he landed.
plan[.]md is the persistent layer. sessions crash, context resets, models forget, the plan survives everything.

@Dinosn data breaches aren't bugs in the system. they're features. companies collect everything because the upside outweighs the cost of losing it.

Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL) has secured over $25 million in funding from a16z, Paradigm, Winklevoss Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Cypherpunk Technologies, Maelstrom (family office of Arthur Hayes), Chapter One, David Friedberg, Haseeb Qureshi, Mert, Balaji and others.
If you aren’t familiar, Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL) is the team formerly known as Electric Coin Company (ECC), the group that launched Zcash, and the creator of @zodl_app. The name is new, but our team has been building Zcash for a decade.
A couple of years ago, my team and I set out to change the trajectory of Zcash with an uncompromising focus on the user experience for shielded ZEC. We released Zodl (then called Zashi) and have never looked back.
The release of the normie-friendly wallet was the first step. Then came integrations with partners like Flexa for retail spending and Keystone for cold storage. Most recently, we worked with the NEAR team to unlock ZEC swaps through NEAR intents.
It worked. The proof is in the numbers. The wallet has driven adoption of the Zcash shielded pool by over 400%, and facilitated more than $600M in ZEC swaps since October.
Now is the time to build on that momentum and accelerate. In addition to Zodl, we are building Zallet, a full node wallet that will also underpin new desktop software. Ultimately, we intend to deliver a private, decentralized financial system as an alternative to legacy institutions.
This funding allows us to bring these ambitions to life, without relying on Zcash dev fund grants to get there.
I’m grateful for these investors who are partnering with us. These are exciting days for the ZODL team and Zcash more broadly.
We’re in the dawn of a new era.
We will get ZEC in the hands of billions.
