used to wonder why someone with the resources to move anywhere would spend years complaining about where they live growing up, I'm realizing that the people who roast a place the hardest are the ones that are never gonna leave

No one: Claude Opus 4.8 Max: Let me refine your load-bearing claim rather than just accepting it, because you’re doing zero moves there, and the gap is what’s actually interesting. The one place I’d still push, because I think it matters: your message is wearing content-clothes, but the content isn’t actually *there*. The tell: it’s just an empty string. But the emptiness of the string IS its lack of content. Pull one, and the other goes inert. That’s the structural spine.

Why tf you can’t judge the candidate on his skills he brings to your table and want to judge him on his current or last CTC. These boomers are the reason why skill Exploitation happens in our country and many fly abroad . Also oombu da sumanth punda
Sumanth Raman@sumanthraman

Interviewed a candidate for a techie opening yesterday. CTC for the candidate with 4 years experience in current company is 7.2 LPA. Asked what the expectation was. Candidate says 16 lakh. I said that's more than double current CTC. Candidate says yes that's what I want. Conversation ended soon after. Increasingly feeling out of touch with today's generation.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝟏.𝟓 The most capable computer-use model for the web. Pareto-domination: accuracy, latency, cost • SoTA across all benchmarks • +5-10% over GPT 5.5, Opus 4.7, n1 • +25% over Gemini • 2x faster, significantly cheaper Expanded action space • UI actions (like n1) + JavaScript generation & execution

My biggest takeaway recently for international flights is to book directly with the airlines. MMT is fine as long as you don't have to cancel your flight, the minute you try to cancel and get a refund you're done for. Exhibit A: Booked a fully refundable flight, paid about 65k specifically for the fully refundable option. Had to cancel, clicked on calculate refund, refund amount was 4k. Called the customer care four different times and they confirmed 4 different refund amounts ranging from 4k to 55k. I got back 55k, but it still didn't add up. I enquired about the remaining amount (I know they deduct a convenience fee), and after spelling out the math they admitted there was about 6k that I OVERPAID that they will give back???? If there was someone else who didn't have enough time to haggle MMT would absolutely be happy to scam them and keep their money. .@makemytrip is an awful service provider that is out to steal unsuspecting customer's money, I'd only use it for domestic flights (low probability of cancellations)

its 2018 in SoMa. you're a SWE. you pour yourself some kombucha from the tap and walk over to the company ballpit. you review a PR that renames ‘dummy var’ to ‘placeholder’ per the inclusive language policy. it absolutely bricks your CI/CD. you have no idea how good you have it

Excited to share “Poisoned Wells,” which presents the largest point-in-time study of website blocking in India to date. I tested the blocking of 294 million apex domains across six Indian ISPs, sending 1.76 billion DNS queries in total.
