"But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid" - Galatians 2:17

Amen! Not the flex the orthodogs think it is. Colossians 2:8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

@manamajere @Thomasdelvasto_ You're biblically not allowed to be in church if you're committing certain sins (1 Cor 5). But the right thing to do would be to welcome you for a service and then tell you that you can't keep coming if you don't repent.

@Thomasdelvasto_ Like, I didn't even know that was a thing. It really broke my heart at the time. I was really needing a church and having nonstop dreams pointing towards one. Anyway. Yeah. That's a messed up thing to do to people. The church is supposed to be for sinners, is it not?

@lowmegatron That's insane. I've lived with TSH over 100 many times and it never got that bad, just anxiety or agitation and thinking everyone is out to get me.

Delusions, hallucinations, insomnia, and anxiety as a result of hypothyroidism. “A 40-year-old Caucasian woman with a history of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depression was brought to the hospital with a 7-day history of anxiety and little to no sleep. In the day prior to presentation, she exhibited disorganized speech and delusions that her mother was going to die. In the emergency department, she was overinclusive and talking nonsensically. She was paranoid of security staff, endorsed auditory hallucinations, believed she was at a “séance,” and appeared to be responding to internal stimuli... (TSH over 100) The day after initiation of levothyroxine (the 3rd day of the patient’s admission), the patient was organized with no evidence of psychosis. The patient showed no further evidence of psychosis during admission and was discharged on the 5th day of her admission... At follow-up 6 months post-hospitalization, she has not required any psychotropic medications and has remained stable and asymptomatic in the community.”

Depression was long known to be a common symptom of hypothyroidism, though this is often overlooked now due to serotonin and psychological theories, and misunderstandings regarding the accuracy of modern thyroid blood tests⁵. “Depression has been the major affective illness described in hypothyroid patients. It has long been recognized that there is a strong relationship between thyroid disorders, particularly hypothyroidism, and disturbance in mood.” Blood tests don’t accurately reflect what's happening in tissues and organs, especially the brain. “The active thyroid hormone in the brain is T3. The relative hypothyroidism localized to the brain may be secondary to inhibited activity of the D2 enzyme, which is responsible for the conversion of T3 to T4.” “Psychiatric presentations (of hypothyroidism) include cognitive dysfunction, affective disorders, and psychosis. The realization that hypothyroidism might be the potential etiology of an assortment of symptoms is critical in the identification and treatment of the hypothyroid patient. Once hypothyroidism is identified, symptoms usually respond to appropriate thyroid hormone supplementation.” Hypothyroidism Presenting as Psychosis: Myxedema Madness Revisited “On examination she was found to be persecuted, deluded, and hallucinated, and she complained of the voices pestering her continually. She was typically though not grossly myxoedematous. The skin of her face was yellow with a malar flush, the palpebral fissures were narrow, and the eyebrows scanty. Her voice was thick and croaking. Her pulse was 68, cholesterol 250 mg. per 100 ml., blood pressure 130/90. The basal metabolic rate was impossible to take (she thought she was being gassed). Progress.—She was started on thyroid, ‡ gr. thrice daily, increased five days later to 1 gr. thrice daily. Within a fortnight there was an obvious facial change and she began to have insight into her hallucinations-admitting they were not real voices though she still heard them. After three weeks the cholesterol had come down from 250 to 120 mg., the hallucinations had stopped, and she said, "I feel different, I see things different, and my husband says I look younger. I talk different; I've lost that deep tone and seem to speak lighter." She was discharged a month after admission and continues to attend as an out-patient in normal physical and mental health. Soon after discharge, when she went to her grocer he said to her : "Are you a relation of the Mrs --- who used to come in here and went to hospital? " He had completely failed to recognize her.”

The KJV is the height of apostasy. KJV - Matthew 16:18 "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church." William Thydale's New Testament - Matthew 16:18 "And I say also unto you thou art Peter: and upon this rock I will build my congregation." This is your wicked "church"

@bannedpastor People will say he's not directly talking about the bible but rather the incarnation, which is true, but what he's says doesn't make sense if the Bible isn't his eternal word "even though our senses do not extend that far"

John Calvin So, we know that the Word of God has been from the beginning, Who is our God. And how do we know that? Certainly we could not reach so high. And yet God has descended to us, even God with His Word, in such a way that we can know Him, although our senses do not extend so far and we cannot ascend above the clouds, we are constrained to know that this Word is really God. How so? Because all things were made by Him. So it is in Him that all things have been. The Apostle to the Hebrews puts it, “Let us confess that the Word of God is eternal.” Why so? Because by this Word all things were made.

Oh okay, so you think anything involving human participation is works? Hate to break it to you bub, but choosing to believe is a work by your definition. Btw none of what you said do we believe is earning us salvation, salvation is by Gods grace start to finish, but we must freely cooperate with that grace. Just like receiving medicine from a doctor doesn’t mean you healed yourself. Paul says salvation is by grace, but commands perseverance, obedience, repentance, and working out salvation. It’s ironic that you made a remark about orthodox not taking scripture for what it says and reading too far into it, yet you completely ignore James 2, is that chapter missing in your Bible? It clearly states (in context) that a person is justified by works and NOT faith alone, remember when he said “even the demons believe”? Unfortunately every time in scripture, for instance in the Pauline epistles, when Paul is speaking against “works”, which is the cornerstone of your sola fide arguments, you take them out of context as he is explaining “works of the law”. So yeah, youre arguments aren’t Biblical, you should really attempt to become more Biblically sound prior to hurling accusations of heresy

Orthodoxy is not only a cancer, but it's also super cringe and seems to appeal to r/iamverysmart type pseudo-intellectuals. A plain reading of scripture is just too simple for them, so they overcomplicate into damnable heresy. When called on it, their defense is "Muh tradition".

@khallwalker @MattWalshBlog Just because something works, it doesn't mean it addresses the root cause. You'd get the same anti-depression and anti-anxiety effects from blasting cocaine, steroids, and alcohol.

@MattWalshBlog Then tell me why I literally can't function when I'm off my meds. And tell me why I always know when my best friend has run out of her ADHD meds. They are certainly over prescribed, but the ones of us who actually need them can't function without them. Don't be a moron.

It has very recently become acceptable to express skepticism about anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. The skeptics used to be angrily shouted down (I know from experience). But the skepticism is meaningless if it doesn’t go all the way and question the fundamental premise. These medications aren’t just “overprescribed.” They should never be prescribed at all. Anxiety and depression are not literal diseases, and any attempt to treat them as such is doomed to fail. We are witnessing the failure right now.

@BaptistBen316 It's ironic cuz orthodogs love to pontificate on the Greek Logos and the parallels to Christ in Greek philosophy when that actually supports our position. This definition applies to the Bible as well as Christ. All of the Bible is Logos but the Bible is not all that is Logos

@lowmegatron @rudekyoni999 This seems right but I have never been able to truly fix it with thyroid meds. Haven't had a thyroid for 7 years and ever since the first piece of it was removed I've had terrible clear mucus production unrelated to histamine issues. The point you are making here explains it.

That's part of it but there is also the dysregulation of tissues caused by low T3 activity directly, and possibly TSH, which causes inflammation and edema. "In conclusion, edema, inflammation, and vascular proliferation occur in the nasal mucosa due to hypothyroidism. Thyroid hormone receptors are present in the sebaceous glands of the nasal mucosa. Our study suggests that thyroid hormone receptors may play a role in the mechanism of action of hypothyroidism on nasal mucosa and shows that new studies related to thyroid hormone receptors are needed."
