I’m tired of farmhouse and leaning towards a home plan like this for my new lot. It’s a reach for the area, you mostly see this style in the city proper. What do you guys think?

Drove on a metal blade at Lowe’s and couldn’t patch tire. I can’t have a mismatched tire. Spent $1400 on new tires. I used to dread this but when you’re going to quote 80k in jobs for the day you need those tires and look presentable. Big picture.

@TannerBuilds @RobertMSterling Looks sweet! Have you thought about making the garage an oversized 1-car? Something about the proportions just looks a bit off to me. Not big enough for 2-car but a bit small w the 1-car

If this same $650k house appreciates at 3% YoY… It’s worth $1.58MM once it’s paid off Seems like a reasonable tradeoff to have a residence you can do whatever the fuck you’d like with, and still make money on top of it Then, you’re left with an asset 24x more than you initially invested in (ie, a 10% down payment of $65k)
Amy Nixon@texasrunnerDFW

If you buy a $650,000 house with a 30 year mortgage and put 10% down, by 2056 you will have paid $719,000 in interest to finally own the home outright

FSD Supervised changes the way you travel
Nahuel Hilal - TattooGuy@nahuelhilal

Yesterday I drove my @tesla 900 miles on FSD from Miami to Nashville and I realized it’s genuinely the better option. I fly that route 2 to 3 times a month. Flights are never under $400. Most times $600. Sometimes $800. Add Uber to and from both airports, or parking garage fees. Then factor in the delays, the cancellations, the security theater, the chaos, the guy next to you who hasn’t met deodorant yet. On the other hand: I pack healthy snacks, press one button, and the car just goes. I took calls. Replied to emails. FaceTimed my family. Ate without pulling over. Did everything I normally do on a travel day, except none of the stuff that makes travel days miserable. My biggest concern going in was range and charging. Here’s what actually happened: My bladder needed one extra stop the car didn’t even suggest. Most charging stops were under five minutes. Total cost for the whole trip was less than just the uber to the airport. And this was the base model Y. Now I’m thinking I should get something comfier and just make this the default.

My favorite concept I learned about while getting my economics degree: Pareto Efficiency You literally maximize the value of any given situation when both sides strive for a win-win type of outcome Abundance mindset at its finest

Feels like there’s two types of people in Real Estate: 1) The person that wants everyone in the deal to achieve a positive outcome 2) The person that only cares if they make money

Yesterday, woke up after the previous night's Real Estate Gala and met a notary in the hotel lobby. Closed on our second flip project in Austin and needed wet signatures. Excited to conquer this 2,722 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 car garage project. Let's build! 🛠️

Taking everyone’s advice and moving six figures from Chase to a local bank. Consolidating some debt there too. Let’s see what this local bank thing is all about.

@Camp4 Great post Kevin. Moved to FL from UT a few years ago and can confirm the forcing function on personal and professional accounts!

The most underrated benefit of relocating: It’s a forcing function for (overdue) change in all areas of life. It’s not just a new place, it’s: New habits New friends New opportunities 💇‍♂️ A new haircut Maintaining the status quo is always easier… so we stick with it until something forces change. There’s a lot to be said for a fresh start. We certainly needed one back in 2018. Moving to Boulder wasn’t easy—and I wasn’t popular with my girls for a while—but it’s one of the best decisions we ever made. We always said we were into the outdoors… yet we lived in a concrete jungle. In the 8 years since moving: —I’ve spent 1,000 days climbing in the mountains —My wife has summited 47 (of 58) fourteeners —Our daughters have spent dozens of nights in the backcountry None of that would have happened in Dallas. Sometimes changing your environment changes everything. 💇‍♂️ I did keep the same haircut though. 📸 Last day in TX / First day in CO
