@KevinKileyCA @nathanmbaker10 Yes, gerrymandering needs to end. This mid-decade redistricting was initiated by Trump telling Abbott to get him 5 more House seats. Texas barged ahead and obeyed the dirty scheme. Newsom retaliated but had the voters vote to approve the plan, and it’s temporary.

The return of gerrymandering in yet another state marks a further regression for democracy. Voters have made it clear they want fair district lines for elections in all states. It is time for Congress to limit redistricting to once per decade and to end gerrymandering for good.

The "Dems' proposal for a national ban on partisan gerrymandering" just means that they get to draw the maps, while gaslighting people into thinking they're fair.
Just like they did in California pre-redraw. The OLD California map is less fair than the NEW Texas map.

Again, if Republicans want to stop partisan gerrymandering they should vote for Democrats’ proposal for a national ban on partisan gerrymandering. If they don’t want to stop it, then stop whining.

Projections currently for Virginia suggest No will lose by ≈120,000 votes. If that holds that’s approximately the equivalent of 600 ballot chasing staff that could have closed that gap in Virginia. There are an estimated 500,000 low propensity Republicans across the state.
