@sowore @adekunleGOLD Apart from feeling pity for the imprisoned guy, all these influencers are just oppressors in disguise. This is one of the reasons idgaf about them. Adekunle gold and simi have tweeted the worst in the past and we didn't ask for their head. Nigerians keeps praising them.

This was @AdekunleGold in 2012 openly criticizing then President @GoodluckJonathan. Back then, it was rightly called free speech, and if he had been arrested for those tweets, we would have been on the streets demanding his immediate release. How then does someone who benefited from freedom of expression turn around years later to use the police, courts, and the brutal cybercrime framework against ordinary Nigerians over online banter and social media exchanges? You cannot enjoy free speech when you are powerless and criminalize it the moment you become influential. Freedom of expression must apply to everyone, celebrities, politicians, activists, and poor young Nigerians on social media alike. The Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG must stop acting as a private army for the rich and famous, while the judiciary must stop handing down outrageous punishments over internet speech that should never be criminal matters in the first place.

There is no difference between Adekunle Gold and Simi. Both of them fell in love with each other because they shared the same idea and mindset, nothing else. One loves to play with 4 year old and the other prefer all the northerners are killed. Both of them are evil!

@EmetieU22921 @Big_Mck Nigeria has never cared for kids, we have kids roaming the streets starving and uneducated. The system only favours the rich and connected, saying someone child denied is at best a misdemeanor not a two year sentence.

“The court had to protect Simi and his family” Says a poor Nigerian who does not have physical security, but their priority in life is to protect Adekunle Gold and Simi from cyber threats. Police can literally shoot you for no reason, and nothing will happen, but you are more worried about how Simi and her husband feel reading internet posts that no one is forcing them to read. They can literally protect themselves from the internet if that's their priority. There are many options for that, provided by the platforms themselves. But no, they want to be on the internet to receive positive comments only and sell their music, while you lot act as their soldiers, defending them from trolling. Smh.

Look at how Adekunle Gold and Simi did their things lowkey. If Alabi had done his own lowkey, all those naysayers wouldn’t have had anything to say… see as dem keep quiet now. If he had made an example of that boy that time, and people didn't criticize him, this guy won't even dare post that rubbish about the Golds' child. Defamation is a punishable offense under the law, if you like continue listening to online defenders.

@DrDanny2030 I hope this serves as a lesson to all banger boys. Now, let me tell you what happens to him: 1) He will be an ex-convict in 2029 when he is out. 2) He cannot get a job in Nigeria. 3) He cannot travel out of the country as an ex-con. Countries will reject him.

Adekunle Gold and Simi won in court today against Swanky, who made a defamatory post about their daughter earlier this year. Swanky pleaded he wasn't guilty. Every evidence was there. He was arrèsted last month, and today was the court hearing. He lost in the case. Swanky has been sentenced to 2years 9months in prison and will be back in 2029.

In 2023, Chelsea passed on Luis Enrique after he presented his vision to the club. Yesterday, he led PSG to the UEFA Champions League final for the second year in a row, while Chelsea won’t even play in the competition next season. 👀

This is the reason I have never ever believed that there are no jobs in Nigeria… I was in Canada when some MNCs in Nigeria were reaching out to offer me job. I was like what’s happening? Is it brain drain or it’s just that Nigerians are not getting skilled enough or what? Jobs plenty, na people no dey skilled enough to do them

If he sets up a GofundMe to raise the £2.35M I’ll gladly chip in and rally others to do so as well. No one should go to prison for making the game affordable and accessible to everyone. The only reason he’s going to jail is because he took profits off greedy broadcasters.

@Oluwaseuna357 @Adesina21210429 @OGrich74 @instablog9ja You will think Nigeria is cheaper right? but minimum wage is ₦70,000/month, while uk is ~£2,000/month i.e ₦70,000 ÷ 30 ≈ ₦2,333/day, £2,000 ÷ 30 ≈ £66/day. So to buy a buttle of water, you spend ~8.6% of daily income in Nigeria, while in UK its just ~1.5%. you get d gist?

@Oluwaseuna357 @Adesina21210429 @OGrich74 @instablog9ja okay, let me lecture you. There is something called Purchasing Power Parity, basically, asking “How much can people actually buy with their income locally?” rather than the conversion rate. For example; bottle water in nigeria is 200, while in uk is about £1. Thats approx ₦2,000
