Legally Homeopathy quacks are allowed to use the title of Dr. in India. Physiotherapists were recently allowed to use the title of Dr. in India.
If that is the case, petition to allow nurses to use the title Dr. because if you ask me, if there is a healthcare group that does closest to what clinical doctors do and even sometimes better than some clinical doctors, then it has to be nurses.
I learned a lot from nursing staff during my MBBS internship. MD in Internal Medicine training in acute wards and DM in Hepatology training in ICU postings. Why not give them the title?
They are much more deserving of the Dr. title than alternative medicine quacks.
Either this, or Indian healthcare hierarchy classification requires a big reset button.
Culturally, Witch Doctors are also Doctors. Just saying.

Why the stockmarket wallahs are suddenly worried about the economy
The Indian economy has had a consumption problem for a while now. Private consumption expenditure, or the money you and I spend on buying goods and services, grew at 4.3% per year in real terms, adjusted for inflation, from 2018-19, before the pandemic started, to 2023-2024.
It had grown at a much faster 7.2% per year over a period of five years before that.
But those in the business of selling stocks, directly or indirectly, or if I were to put it slightly more creatively, those in the business of managing other people’s money (OPM), have refused to acknowledge this problem.
But suddenly now they are. What has changed?
All this and more in the latest issue of the Easynomics newsletter.

@shirinmehrotra @TravelSpace9 Documentation is immense. Better to go through a visa facilitator

@shirinmehrotra @TravelSpace9 It costs 17-20K (at least it did a few months back). Much less if you have a US/UK/Schengen visa
