@TeleFootball The noise was just a demonstration of a revolutionary new tactic where you wrestle the opposition at corners and set pieces

During a recent transfer window, a secret meeting was arranged for Mikel Arteta and one of Arsenal’s top targets. The plan was for it to be a relaxed sort of occasion.
It soon became clear, though, that Arteta was in no mood for casual chit-chat. Not long after the player arrived, the Arsenal manager asked to take him into another room. Just the two of them. No others allowed.
What followed, Telegraph Sport understands, was the most extraordinary set of noises. Arteta could be heard banging on tables, slamming on walls, jumping around the room and shouting. He had a presentation prepared, about how the player would fit into Arsenal’s set-up, and he delivered it with chest-thumping, hair-raising passion.
When the pair finally emerged, the player was wide-eyed and dazed. Almost like he had been brainwashed. He never fully explained to his advisors what had been said, but he was absolutely clear about his intentions. “I want to play for Arteta,” he told his agent.
@SamJDean looks at how Arteta’s unique methods drove Arsenal to end their 22-year wait for the title ⬇️

@Gazmac92 @mattyattree @HullCity1975 Because poor old Ticketmaster might have smaller profits this year
English

@mattyattree @HullCity1975 Why should the FA refund it? It should be Southampton, even if you think the league should it would be the EFL not the FA. The FA haven’t charged anyone yet, that will come later.

🚨🚨 Milan owner Gerry Cardinale to @Corriere:
“Not winning the scudetto is a disappointment and if we don’t finish in top 4 it would be a failure. Winning is always a priority for me. Words alone don’t mean much. Now it’s right to send a clear message on the club.”

@Bertadeville No. One is cheaper and scalable and the other one isn’t

Adaptación al mercado. Ya no es un sitio para la salida familiar puntual porque ya no existen las familias, sino un lugar al que van adultos solos, con prisas, para quitarse el hambre de forma cómoda y automática.

@BoxingShrew I just think back to the Price fight and how badly beaten Allen was. Just feel it goes that way this evening for him but who knows with him

@BoxingShrew For all the talk about Fulham I had a season ticket up to a couple of years ago for cheaper than the most expensive ones on that list

@sportingintel Is it fair to say that the intern was sent so it would possibly soften any consequences if caught?
English

I'm a Saints fan, and remain embarrassed & mortified that a Saints intern spied on Boro. Pointless. Self-defeating. Cringe. But today's "bombshell" utterly subverts the totally fake news narrative of sophisticated spyware tech, live feeds to HQ etc. It's a kid. With an iphone.

@jeremycwhittle I read an article in a well known publication recently arguing that make cycling faster had nothing to do with safety and how f1 being fast and quite safe proved the point. Argument was made by prominent figures in the sport. How do we fix this?

Professional cycling is now more dangerous than F1. So why can’t anybody make things better? 👇observer.co.uk/news/sport/art…
