On the silicon side, it's the era of analog inference. This company combo will deliver the first hybrid AI platform with 100x more compute per watt than the best GPUs. How? Mythic performs the core AI operation (8-bit multiply & add) in a single flash memory transistor. Compare this to ~3,000 transistors in a digital circuit, the kind every other AI chip uses. · Mythic acquires Videantis news today: businesswire.com/news/home/2026… · Company: Mythic.AI

After a rewarding journey at @harvey, I’m excited to share I'm joining @kleinerperkins as a Partner to back the next generation of AI-native founders! When I joined Harvey as the first PM, we were just 20 people with 5 customers quietly building in a world that still ridiculed GPT wrappers. Thank you to @winstonweinberg and @gabepereyra for showing that with a relentless focus on the customer and a constant dissatisfaction with the status quo, nothing else matters. I remain incredibly bullish in @winstonweinberg, @gabepereyra, @aniqued, & @sgurumur's leadership to take the company to the next level, raising the bar for the whole application layer. Company building is when you learn the hard lessons that don't show up in any pitch deck; it’s chaotic but addictive. And I’ve had the privilege to do it early at three AI decacorns at three different layers of the stack: Harvey (apps), @scale_AI (data), and @shieldaitech (physical). The pattern I’ve observed is that great founders don't just build great products, they paint the AI transformation vision for their industry, redefining how work actually gets done. The winners of this cycle will combine unique domain insights, customer-centric decision making, and nimble, talent dense teams all with the goal of becoming the canonical deployment of AGI in their space. We are still only at the beginning of an industrial revolution much bigger than the last, and the opportunities are infinite. That conviction in the future, while respecting the history, is what drew me to Kleiner Perkins. @mamoonha, @ilyaf, and the team are backing the founders seizing that opportunity right now, including Harvey, @p0, @tryprofound, @JoinNooks, @getavoca and more. And they’re doing it with both the ferocious conviction and intellectual humility this moment requires. I’m excited to dive in with this team and the founders they’ve backed. If you're an AI-native founder in any domain, I'd love to chat! There’s so much left to build. Full news here: kleinerperkins.com/perspectives/w…

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

It would be interesting to pre-train on all of the digitally recorded actions people take across Slack, Email, Google Drive, etc. This seems like it would be a strong foundation for an autonomous agent.

🚀 BLASST just won Best Paper at #MLSys26! In this paper, we introduce a simple, training-free dynamic sparse attention mechanism that uses a single scalar threshold on online softmax statistics to skip negligible attention blocks. Unfortunately I won’t be there in person, but please say hi to my awesome coauthors! 🙌 Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2512.12087

Sparse attention mechanisms are finally moving beyond academic benchmarks into production systems, including DeepSeek Sparse Attention, and recently @NousResearch 's Lighthouse Attention. BLASST by NVIDIA, from paper Dynamic Blocked Attention Sparsity via Softmax Thresholding, attempts to sparsify attention in a different way, leveraging a similar rescale factor threshold idea from Flash Attention 4. We expect to see more interesting sparse attention techniques in the future. arxiv.org/abs/2512.12087 (2/4)

Musk has lost his case against OpenAI in the most anti-climactic way possible. Less than 2 hours of jury deliberation despite 3 weeks of testimony and hundreds of documents. The jury didn't weigh in on whether Musk was right or wrong, they just said he failed to bring his claims in time

In the last couple of years I’ve had a front row seat to the future. So I’m excited to be stepping into a new role at @OpenAI leading Founder Experience, taking the work I’ve been doing with founders, developers and investors across EMEA to a global level. I have travelled around the world meeting founders at meetups, universities, VC events and hackathons, builders creating incredible companies. The jump from builder to founder is one of the most important moments on their journey: going from experimenting, hacking and prototyping to building a company, creating value for others and shaping what’s next. We’re building this function around a simple belief: if you are building in the service of others, then we are in the service of you. Founder Experience is focused on helping founders move fast, be supported from Day 1 and through every stage of growth.

I’m excited to share that I’m joining Andreessen Horowitz as a Partner on the New Media team, focusing on the intersection of comms, networks, and investing. I’ve been working on these three things throughout my career, first in early-stage investing and most recently in comms at Rostra, writing about my perspectives and experiences along the way. For a long time, I thought these were three different paths I’d have to choose between. I’ve done comms, but I’m not just a comms leader. I write and build community, but I’m not just a writer or community builder. And I’ve invested, but I’m not just an investor. When @eriktorenberg approached me about the opportunity, he told me I could come do all of it under one roof, at a scale that wouldn’t be possible anywhere else, and crafted the right role to make it work. @a16z is the perfect place for me to manifest the full range of my interests, skills, and ambitions. Erik has been one of my earliest believers (since college!), so this feels like a long arc finally closing. I look forward to working alongside him and the rest of a16z’s brilliant team, and also hire even more great people into the firm. I’ll be taking some time between roles to touch grass and exist in the context. In the meantime, my DMs are always open.
