Sparse attention mechanisms are finally moving beyond academic benchmarks into production systems, including DeepSeek Sparse Attention, and recently @NousResearch 's Lighthouse Attention. BLASST by NVIDIA, from paper Dynamic Blocked Attention Sparsity via Softmax Thresholding, attempts to sparsify attention in a different way, leveraging a similar rescale factor threshold idea from Flash Attention 4. We expect to see more interesting sparse attention techniques in the future. arxiv.org/abs/2512.12087 (2/4)

modern research is solving a ton of infra challenges

university is an increasingly meaningless institution if you didn’t do IMO or smth prior, it is what it is and college ain’t gonna backfill it i disagree with the social development arguments. only steel man is that you want a job for which a particular degree is required

Introducing Composer 2.5, our most powerful model yet. It's more intelligent, better at sustained work on long-running tasks, and more reliable at following complex instructions. For the next week, we’re doubling the included usage of the model.

BREX DATA: Spring 2026’s top 25 fastest-growing software vendors.

The recipe behind today’s frontier reasoning models is surprisingly similar to AlphaGo: 1) Imitate large amounts of human data 2) Scale inference compute to reason better (back then it was Monte Carlo Tree Search, today it's Chain of Thought) 3) Use RL to go beyond imitation
