Just realized my original post forgot the inspiration for the post. She's even the thumbnail for the Obi Wan series.

Was scrolling Disney+, and I almost forgot that Disney made an Obi Wan Kenobi show that centered around a strong, independent black woman who miraculously survived multiple fatal light saber stabbings from Darth Vader. And then she almost killed a young Luke Skywalker because Obi Wan decided to abandon him for Leia, even though they canonically had never met. And that's the state of Disney Star Wars.

This was 43 years ago?? 😳 I've been reading a lot of the posts about classic TV shows. This day had a lot of big time shows starting and ending on this day. Gen X had it really good is so many ways. The TV shows were definitely one of them.

@parkamonkii @godmitzu You're right. Ultimately, they are going to do what they want for their careers. I feel like the VS stuff was sexy, and its appropriate since they are all older now. But when they add profanities to music, I feel like its a little more personal, since people sing the lyrics.

@neal09 @godmitzu That’s completely different. That’s acting, she’s playing a role. Plus we are not really discussing their private lives. We are talking about the type of music they put out, the lyrical content of the songs, the performances etc.

@RetroNewsNow I loved Chips but by the time the series finale happened, it was a shell of its former great self. There was an episode where a girl thought she was abducted by a UFO. WTF! It ended when it needed to.

@parkamonkii @godmitzu Yea, i don't picture Dahyun saying anything remotely profanity like in her songs but she is getting into acting and she had a scene in a movie where it looks like she slept with a male character, so I guess in the grand scheme it does not matter if they use some bad words.

@neal09 @godmitzu No I know they were tired as hell and you could tell they were ready to go back home. It’s ok to be older and sexy, they have been for a while and they’ve done it in a classy way. This is why Dahyun is my bias. But hey, to each their own.
