@thegarrettscott @elneurozorro @pipedream_labs Love the concept, and love your design and branding! Excited to follow your success

Founder here. Ya, we had to pause Goods for now.
Our plan was to run it for a month in Beta and then when the experience was an A++ do a full grand opening. A few weeks in, we had a deal for the main business (@pipedream_labs) delay, which meant we couldn’t run Goods until we figured it out.
Running the beta was some of the most rewarding work I have ever done. We learned a ton. Really appreciate everyone who tried it and gave us feedback.
I promise that we will not do a Grand Opening until we are sure we can be open for everyone for 12+ months. We should have waited until we were 100% sure we could operate for a year plus no matter what, and that is on me. Really sorry we didn’t run the beta for longer, hopefully can be fully open soon.
In the meantime, if anyone wants a tour let me know, I’d love to show you. Also, hit me with your most hard hitting questions here and I’ll answer all of them.

@CsDeclan @CritterSmoothie @DAKKADAKKA1 That’s not how tax write offs work with planes. As soon as the plane is sold, he will owe the taxes back unless he rolls the tax savings into another plane.
English

@CritterSmoothie @DAKKADAKKA1 From my understanding, they’re just renovating it out (most of the renovations are for free because they bought it at a service interval)
they seem to have gotten it under market with the intent to resell when it’s all fixed. With tax write-offs for videos, it’s essentially free

@metapreston Aside from Facebook, does Meta have any successful products that weren’t acquired?

Zuck probably better off sitting on a boat and doing nothing
VR: failed
Metaverse: failed
AI: failed
George Pu@TheGeorgePu
Update on Meta's AI: Their new 2026 model underperforms Google's. Delayed to at least May. Internal leadership clashing. Researchers leaving before launch. And now they're in discussions to license Google's Gemini to power their own products. $14 billion to build AI. Might end up renting someone else's.

Version 4 is out today, and this one feels different.
The rendering quality is a massive leap forward. Path Tracing, DLSS4, Global Illumination, and HDRI Skies are all in, and the images coming out of the software now look like they belong in an architectural publication.
Beyond the visuals, we added 456 new plant models, 148 new materials, 165 new furniture pieces, a Dynamic Door System, Cross Sections, Scaled 3D Plan Views, expanded GIS Data, and a Default System that saves time on every project.
To our team who built this: it shows. Thank you.

@levelsio 64gb of RAM? I guess if you’re only going to game with it that’s enough. If you’re going to want to run WSL2 and Cursor and a bunch of browser tabs, I’d want more. Also, once you switch to ECC RAM, it’s hard to go back.

Nice, what about this set up?

@levelsio PC Componentes, you can build your own PC and they ship in in 48h pccomponentes.pt/configurador This youtuber visited their warehouse recently and on min 9 you can see the teams assembling the PC's: youtube.com/watch?v=psbRzO…

@realEstateTrent Ensure the pool builder shows you your design in 3D. Most regrets (pool light placement, pool deck size, step/sun shelf location) will be avoided.

@sweatystartup look at mister healthy over here. my father raised me on mountain dew and i’ll raise my kids on the dew too

@Scenario_gg Beyond stylized cartoony textures Scenario falls fairly short. Further Scenario doesn't know what to do with reference materials. 4o can take a normal picture and generate an okay texture. With this image, 4o generated this texture.

English

People are getting wild over 4o’s seamless texture generation 🫨
It’s impressive, but let’s be honest:
- Control is limited
- Some results aren’t truly seamless
- PBR settings can’t be adjusted in many cases
Here’s how to AI-generate high-quality materials with full control using Scenario, a THREAD 👇🧵

Here's the prompt: "Generate a seamless, tileable, high-resolution photorealistic texture of honed travertine flooring layed in French pattern, optimized for real-time 3D rendering software. Ensure even, neutral lighting with no directional shadows, visible seams, or borders. The texture should appear life like and photorealistic, top-down rendering suitable for infinite tiling in any direction."
English

Prompt: Generate a seamless, tileable, high-resolution photorealistic texture of horizontally stacked natural stone, optimized for real-time 3D rendering software. The stones should vary slightly in size, shape, and color (ranging from warm grays to earthy browns) while maintaining a consistent scale and density across the surface. Ensure even, neutral lighting with no directional shadows, visible seams, or borders. The texture should appear life like and photorealistic, top-down rendering suitable for infinite tiling in any direction.

AI is finally getting okay results with seamless, tilable textures. Which seamless AI texture generation wins? @OpenAI (gpt_4o), @Magnific_AI , or @Scenario_gg Prompt Below
