@forgebitz Landing page feels chinese how it is clustered from top to bottom to fill as much as possible. Too many logos used from "customers", flexing that you paid 12M for your domain is NOT a flex and why would you put the team/story/etc. cards right below instead of some white space 😭

Cal AI has been acquired by MyFitnessPal 🚨 Henry and I started Cal AI as 17-year old high school students with one mission: make calorie tracking easier with AI. In just 18 months, we’ve helped millions of people lose millions of pounds. And we broke $50m in ARR along the way. We are at an incredible inflection point in history where ANYBODY can build a product that can improve lives and make millions. As founders, we get a lot of praise. The truth is that this would not have been possible without our incredible 30+ person team. We are so proud of what this team has accomplished, and are thankful to everyone that has been instrumental in Cal AI’s development and success. Cal AI will continue as a separate app from MyFitnessPal. The combined team will share resources to continue helping people achieve their fitness goals!

You don’t understand How important artistry is to me I see all SF companies As soulless And empty Everyone has forgotten to dream Everyone is part Of the same YC mass attention slop And so a new torchbearer Must show them the light again

Computers usually use lights To indicate state to the user; (On, error, standby) On a Truffle however, The model uses light To express *itself* instead (RGB mapped to latent space) Like a version Of human facial cues This ensures No two truffle’s Are ever alike

Social media suffers from toxic traffic How many of your interactions are real? How many of the post you read were made by real people? You like trolls as long as the metrics rise? Open doors have destroyed more distinguished societies than war

The only thing young people in Southern Europe can do is drink and smoke because there's absolutely zero opportunities for them to do anything else They have little to no economic opportunities available, no jobs, no housing to rent or buy to move out of your parent's place and regulation makes it close to impossible to even run your own business The only thing you can do is hope you can leave and work abroad and then return at age 65 when you've made enough money and buy some farmland Their governments have failed their people for decades Tragic is what it is But yes it's a "vibe"

I love this landing page Very structured and functional Feels very intense but like yes yes I want to sign up Opposite of what fancy designers would make but news flash fancy designs don't convert!

I like this Most have an issue with conversion after the advent of apple because they believe that design converts. This couldn't be further from the truth. Zara and apple convert through their brand, not their websites. Their websites are actual conversion killers to the highest degree but they embrace this because it's part of their brand. Design enhances your branding and gives life to who you are but in almost any cases conversion actually suffers from it. Focus on simple conversion and what works very well in the west vs. the east. The east is more open to extreme overload while westerners prefer simple and clean basics.

@nearcyan this will work wonders if they are planning to fragment their LLM(s) into a personal and an operational AI but the average person could tell you right away that this is at least one whole deviation away from seeming human, personal, nice, appreciative or "nice".

I’m glad most of my timeline realizes openAI is being very silly here and i think they should be honest about what they are doing and why but one thing not realized is things like this work on normal people. they don’t even know what an LLM or finetuning or aA/B testing is.
