Claude is interesting - seems hard to know which mode to use for which job, especially chat project vs cowork vs cowork projects. Many ways to generate a file. I guess it becomes more obvious the more it’s used. Codex seems to be pushing same agenda, need to play

Still wondering how you can use Codex for (almost) everything? Codex can help with more of the work that supports the work, from organizing research to making spreadsheets, decks, and summaries.

do you understand what just happened with OpenAI.. Sam Altman just announced an update to their partnership with Microsoft. "Primary cloud partner" for Microsoft? That's mostly a branding win now. Azure still gets first-call capacity and probably preferred pricing, but the exclusivity is gone. That's not a moat against AWS or Google Cloud anymore. It's a title. Microsoft got a decent deal on paper and a weaker position in practice. What this really signals is OpenAI preparing to operate like a fully independent commercial company. The partnership framing is polite but the structure underneath it is OpenAI loosening every constraint it can before 2030 hits. Developers who were waiting for a reason to go all-in on OpenAI APIs without infrastructure anxiety, this is that reason.
Sam Altman@sama

we have updated our partnership with microsoft. microsoft will remain our primary cloud partner, but we are now able to make our products and services available across all clouds. will continue to provide them with models and products until 2032, and a revenue share through 2030.

Microsoft announced a new autonomous email delegation feature for Copilot, fundamentally changing how the AI interacts with your inbox. Instead of merely summarizing lengthy threads or drafting suggested replies, users can now directly forward an email to Copilot. The AI will then act as an independent agent, extracting the necessary action items, executing the work, and pinging the user with a notification once the tasks are complete.
