I got back again into TCGs pretty late, around 2024, obv with Pokémon. I was enjoying it, but something always felt a bit off for me, too much money driven plus everything inflated by the newer Gens. Then I got completely caught by the OnePiece TCG and everything changed, not just because of TCG itself, but because of what One Piece already meant to me. It started the same year I was born and during COVID, it was one of the few things that genuinely kept me going while I was alone at home after the bar where I was working had to shut down. I got in early, last year spring before the market really exploded, and started picking up cards I actually loved not for the money, but for what they represented. Now a lot of those cards have gone up a lot and it just feels different when you’re not chasing profit, you actually believe in what you’re buying 🏴‍☠️👒☠️ @OnePiece @Eiichiro_Staff

These times have a way of reminding you what really matters. I don’t think we talked about crypto once last night. It was just a group of old friends sharing dinner, drinks, and good conversations. @MrEncrypto flew all the way from Europe with his family to visit our office and spend time with the community. Having a place where holders can stop by, hang out, and share a meal together is something I’m genuinely grateful for. One of my favorite moments of the night was hearing @kaakoon_sui share that he and his wife are expecting their first child. Two years ago, he was a new face at one of the first Sui events we hosted. Today, he’s someone we get to celebrate one of life’s biggest milestones with. That’s pretty freakin’ cool. We also had our Japan OGs, @dq1030984091 and @Aki_san_5, who have probably been to 99% of every Mirai event we’ve hosted here. True day-one Studio Mirai Japan supporters. We even got to hear their karaoke skills. Aki also brought along Ko, a new holder, which is exactly the kind of organic community growth you love to see. And of course, it wouldn’t be a sake night without our honorary Italian, @ngiotcg, spending his last night in Japan with us. Definitely a great night alongside team members, @_smbrian and @_smcosmonaut. Markets come and go. Community is what stays. CC. @_StudioMirai @SuiCommunity

Been getting into the Lorcana TCG recently, and I’m glad Toy Story is part of the lineup. It’s always been one of my favorite Disney franchises. Stamp rally was fun but securing promos is always going to be better.

I’ve spent the last few months designing the Enforcer Machin upgrade, and these are the emotions I keep coming back to: The first time you pulled a rare card... The first time you buy a PFP you really liked... The first time you discovered a hidden secret nobody else knew about... Instead of designing around stats or power, I’m designing around nostalgia, anticipation, lore, and the feeling that there’s always something more to uncover. The market will always be the market. Prices will go up, prices will go down. That’s inevitable. But my hope is that Nozomi World becomes something different. A place you can visit, get lost in, uncover hidden stories, chase discoveries, and keep finding reasons to come back. If we pull this off, Enforcer Machin won’t just be something you own. It’ll be something you disappear into.

Here’s my updated OP16 Tier List. The impression I've gotten from this first week of OP16 is that the meta will probably be a jungle, but Tier 1 decks likely won't change much. The only leader that I think will truly join T1 is BY Teach. Almost every OP16 leader struggles against both Enel and Nami, and the only leader that really breaks this trend is Teach. Yamato, Rosinante, and GU Luffy are all solid choices for mid-level tournaments, but at a high-level event like a Regional, they would probably run into too many Enel and Nami players. Among these three, GU Luffy is probably the weakest option because it also loses to Rosinante and has a significantly worse matchup against Enel. The strongest of these T2 leaders is, in my opinion, Rosinante, since it has favorable matchups against almost every deck except Nami and Enel. Ace is definitely one of the biggest winners of OP16. It gained several favorable matchups, and the new additions make the Enel matchup a bit more manageable. However, Teach remains a huge problem for it. RG Luffy sits in the T1.5 because, despite having a bad matchup against Teach, it's the only leader that beats all of the T2 decks while also having decent matchups against both Enel and Nami. One of the leaders that suffers the most in OP16, unfortunately, is Lucy. A lot of aggressive decks and full tempo/aggro-ramp strategies, such as Rosinante, have entered the meta, making the meta much tougher for Lucy.
