@JulianKJarboe So you opted for the natural, authentic method of making ube ice cream instead of the commercial approach? Congratulations, I guess.

@nhtargues I mean, sure. I did research on cultural context and considered how it would work with a given kitchen. A lot of recipes use artificial extracts and I needed to avoid Red 40 for example. So I made it up using that info, but I didn't follow any given recipe. Hence develop.

I worked really hard on developing a vegan ube ice cream recipe for work and look how pretty she is! Zero artificial colors or flavors, and maybe the perfect special to bridge AAPI and Pride months.

@JulianKJarboe What's different about your recipe? Like, what did you add to authentic Filo recipes that made this your own unique development? If the answer's nothing/negligible, then you didn't develop a recipe, you've merely followed it.

Hey guys: "developing a recipe" literally means researching it and finding a way to make it work in a given kitchen. I absolutely make this as Filipino genuine as possible, on purpose. It's not at all a claim of invention.

James Magnussen swimming slower at the Enhanced Games than he was in his prime. No one in the stands. Low-budget set up in a carpark. Huge flop.

A group of Australian citizens were kidnapped on international waters and beaten senseless on camera by their captors - Israel The most prominent Israel advocate in Australia - Jillian Segal - has so far said nothing about the welfare of her fellow Australian citizens nor condemned this atrocious abuse of human rights and brutality by her home state of Israel Jillian Segal is an employee of the Australian people charged with promoting "social cohesion" and her silence on this blatant Israeli abuse of her fellow Australians is a disgrace to these abused citizens and to the Australian taxpayers who fund her

Just saw this on insta. Police brutality in Naarm yesterday at a peaceful 'No cuts to NDIS' rally. "Vulnerable people with disability, young people and the elderly were pushed to the ground, shoved, punched and injured. Police pushed people in front of a moving tram." #springst

"They’re trying to convince you that he shouldn’t be a role model for men because he was weak and a “cry baby”" No one's saying that shit, lol. Also, this is Book 18 of Iliad. If you refuse to interpret the subtext of Achilles' grief from this, that's on you

Homer Pavlos@HomerPavlos

What we’re seeing on X these past few days is insane. > They’re trying like maniacs to convince you that Achilles is not a hero or a role model, even though he was the greatest role model in the West for 3,000 years. > They’re trying to convince you that he had a sexual relationship with his dear brotherly friend Patroclus, even though Homer says nothing of the sort. On the contrary, Homer mentions his relationships with women, states that Achilles has a son, Neoptolemus, and that at Patroclus’ funeral, Achilles and Briseis weep because he didn’t manage to marry them. That’s what Homer writes. > They’re trying to convince you that he shouldn’t be a role model for men because he was weak and a “cry baby”. This is being said by uneducated barbarians whose sources are the movie and secondary interpretations. They want you weak and disillusioned with classical studies. All these pseudo intellectuals have invaded the academic community of classical studies and archaeology and are trying to completely rewrite the facts in order to repel you. They want to fully control classical studies the same way they control art. Because if they control the Classics they will control the civilizational narrative. Don’t fall victim to their Marxist anti-Greek and anti-Western propaganda. Achilles was, is, and will always be the role model of a healthy man. Never forget that Alexander the Great slept with a copy of the Iliad (from Aristotle) under his pillow, along with his dagger. His role model was Achilles, who was also his ancestor on his mother’s side. Never forget that.

@nhtargues @GriffoBJ I don’t need a Google search to know that Anzac Day is not exclusive to non-indigenous people. Also, welcome to country is not about indigenous soldiers.

@Jay801058994450 @GriffoBJ Of course, but also, “More than 1,000 Indigenous men served in WWI, and approximately 3,000 in WWII, despite not being considered citizens or having equal rights at the time.” Google is literally free, dude.
