@andNickMullins Reminds me of when Sarries “signed” Soane Tonga’uhia - they announced a ‘heads of terms’ contract but actually wasn’t all sealed. Don’t doubt Faz is moving on - but something smells fishy that a club legend like Owen hasn’t had a coordinated announcement with his boyhood club.

@andNickMullins All seems a bit weird to me, Nick. The Racing statement feels very rushed (no quotes etc) and no comment yet from Sarries. Maybe just me but it feels like this isn’t over to me - and the clubs are still locked in a negotiation over a fee - and Racing have rushed this out?

Sale Sharks is aware of a video being circulated on social media which appears to show one of the club’s supporters directing abuse at Owen Farrell. The club strongly condemns the use of language of this nature at what was an extremely family friendly event. We are now consulting with the RFU and Premiership Rugby on the matter.

Hang your head in shame if you’ve ever written, posted, or shared the unfair and unfathomable criticism or abuse Owen Farrell has had. Not only is it only a game. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not only is he always giving his all. More than that, he is a human being. We need to stop thinking just because someone pulls on a jersey and plays in a team, they’re immune to this stuff. He has pushed himself physically and mentally to achieve what 99.9% of people wouldn’t manage. People in the arena deserve our respect, not our ridicule. WHO DOES IT HELP? When you get to the end of your time, you will stop for a brief moment and ask what shadow you cast, and what energy you left behind. Make sure you feel good in that moment.
