@nap_ano I just beg to differ. If I’m feeling ambitious I can walk from south loop all the way to Lincoln park and even farther north if i wanted to.

@baddiemaddie43 i wouldn’t even call nyc extremely walkable. you can walk anywhere.. you can’t really walk everywhere in a us city and not deal with hostile infrastructure

Here’s a 5.9M condo in Manhattan. It’ll be bought by someone Mamdani/Hochul claim isn’t paying their “fair share”. They’ll pay a $132,000 mansion tax at closing. And then pay $5200 a month in property taxes. Mamdani and Hochul will now add another tax to this bill.

Every single employee is paid exactly what they agreed to be paid, which is what they think their job is worth. This whole argument is for people too unskilled to ever earn decent money so they want to either drag everyone else down, or see themselves overpaid.
Nicole Pizza@justaphag6

rich people are losing their MIND at the concept of the 10:1 pay ratio 🤣🤣🤣 absolutely terrified that they’re gunna have to pay their employees well if they want to be paid well 🤣

@ACDAFC @AjayRedonkulus more people crossing the theshold for 40% marginal rate is surely better, you don’t want the top 1% to carry all the burden, do you?

@AjayRedonkulus People earning enormous salaries is good for tax revenue. Public services would collapse without it.

@ACDAFC @_Alex505 never occurred in your chicken brain that the lower wage would rise so the ceo could still make tons of money while paying the average person well.

@_Alex505 People’s salaries would essentially be capped at the £250,000p/a mark. Talented businessmen, sportsmen, actors, etc would leave the UK as they could earn much more money elsewhere, shrinking our tax revenue in the process.

@david_darlo7 For all of its faults the current economic order’s still much better than every socialist country that’s ever existed.

@ACDAFC more taxes would be paid by the people, instead of the millionaires you hold so closely? is this a problem now

@dagenhamboy My post is clearly about central London, not rural transport. I agree public transport in rural areas needs major improvement however central London has one of the most extensive transport networks in the country, and that’s the relevant context for this point.

Within a 15-minute walk of Farringdon there’s the Elizabeth line Northern line Central line Metropolitan line H’ & City line Circle line Piccadilly line Weaver line Thameslink National Rail services plus many bus routes Plenty of options. Cycling is just one of them.
charlie maguire@muffmasterh

@francesca_kms But u have just admitted you wish to force people to stop driving by removing any ability to park their car. Nowhere to park no car ownership & this is what you wish to do to us all thus forcing us to cycle as the only remaining option whether physically able or otherwise.

10:1 pay ratio. Ok, so now I hire my cleaners via a cleaning company. I broker a deal with a consultancy to give me junior staff with a clause that I can hire them myself directly when they reach a level of seniority. Done. That’s how fucking dumb you guys are.

London has gone from 98% White British to 36% White British in a 60 year time period. This is the biggest demographic shift Britain if not the world has ever seen.

Black Londoners make up just 13% of the population but are responsible for 61% of knife murders. A stab vest is a fitting symbol.
