Nobody talks about how we're all paying $15 for sandwiches now and just pretending that's normal. Five years ago that same sandwich was $8. The price doubled and the only explanation we got was "supply chain issues" which apparently means "forever."

I met with air crew and personnel at Thunder Bay Airport this morning to thank them for their work supporting the wildfire response in northern Ontario. Right now, crews in more than 80 waterbombers and helicopters are hard at work fighting the fires, with another 40 aircraft on standby to assist.

Last year, this @fordnation MPP spent more than $32,000 of our money on this "free" BBQ. $32,000. While I'm all for community connection and fun, in the words of Stan Cho, that's a big party with taxpayers' money! Surely there should be a limit on spending? #onpoli

To the firefighters and emergency personnel on the ground, and to everyone who has been impacted by these fires, my message is simple: we will have your backs, no matter what.

Stan Cho's resignation doesn't explain a single hotel bill. He was living the suite life on your dime, got caught, and is now dodging accountability. The refund is still owed. So are the answers. And Former Minister Cho wasn't alone: Hardeep Grewal billed nearly $30,000, and Nina Tangri and Charmaine Williams billed tens of thousands more. Do they still have the Premier's confidence?

Earlier today, I accepted the resignation of Stan Cho from Cabinet, effective immediately. He has acknowledged and taken responsibility for his mistake. He will continue to serve the people of Willowdale as their Member of Provincial Parliament.   I also want to acknowledge Neil Lumsden’s announcement that he will be retiring from Cabinet and the provincial legislature effective August 4. Neil has been a dedicated public servant with a storied career during his time in the CFL, as a minister and as the MPP for Hamilton East-Stoney Creek. In particular, I want to thank Neil for his work supporting Toronto’s successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup. Ontario is lucky to have benefited from his leadership. I wish Neil and his family all the very best in his retirement. Attorney General Doug Downey will be taking on these additional Cabinet responsibilities on an interim basis.
