SPJ Louisville President Chris Hughes and Director Justin Hicks spent last week at the national @spj_tweets MediaFest conference in Washington. It was an opportunity to connect with other chapter leaders, learn best practices and gets lots of great ideas!

Let’s help Jim and his family out. He staunchly defended the First Amendment by refusing to censor @idsnews and then @IUBloomington doubled down on their infringement of a free press.

Absolutely shameful. Not sure why IU has professors teach students about the 1st Amendment if the administration likes to disregard it in practice. It’s never been more clear they want the IDS to fail. Kudos though to Jim Rodenbush for standing up for student journalists.

@JustMyOpinions4 @nicnapier1 Except it was done in response to not printing what the school wanted. That’s the problem. If it was centered around ceasing print, they wouldn’t cancel an issue they didn’t like two days before it went to the printers, despite unfulfilled ad contracts with businsses.
