We're building a startup city with pro-tech common law legal system on a Caribbean paradise island. Just like in the sci-fi novels, with the brute reality of difficult Central American governments. Now @ProsperaGlobal has come out stronger, as the socialist government was voted out decisively. On March 25-29th, we celebrate the new wave of Latin American liberty and continue our work attracting top startups, after we had e.g. @TimDraper, @brian_armstrong and @balajis here and $20m+ raised. The coming demo day may have the highest density of great startups here ever (despite the last cohort winning the Draper Challenge), and we have visitors confirmed such as @sytses, @waitbutwhy and @cremieuxrecueil The main venues are sold out (a few VIP spots left), but there are still good venues around with shuttles.

Sometimes you take a moment, look around & know this will mark a turning point. This network society space often feels like a bunch of madmen fighting the impossible fight to make a better life for future generations. This weekend felt different. So many projects now have their land/zone/momentum. It felt like we now could look forward to how we will live & hopefully flourish in these places. Conversations around families, education, top of funnel are now on everyone’s mind. We now have the foundations & it’s time to let the world know. I want to shout out all the people some new friends & some old that are all working on their own super important North Star Projects. @infinitacity & @NiklasAnzinger @tails_ph @pcekerevac Kara & Christine plus team were able to bring such interesting people together this weekend. @ProsperaGlobal @erickbrimen @gabedelgadoa @_Lonis_ excited to see what is ahead of us. Thanks for allowing this to happen your work over the last 10+ years has been integral to this movement. @patrissimo your founders retreat was an awesome moment but even cooler was you playing hide and seek with little luchi. @FlorianRRF so hyped to come to Zanzibar and learn more. So basic yet most people never understand that in the end… it’s all about community. One day the movement will also understand that most projects are TERRIBLE at marketing and communication as well.
