Feels like everything is moving faster lately. You open an app and there's another update. 'Bug fixes and performance improvements', sometimes every other day. #AI is clearly changing how quickly things get built & improved. The pace is not what it used to be.

Fidji Simo just told OpenAI staff to cut the "side quests." Sora -- dead. The app, the API, the video model, all of it. Atlas browser -- cut. Hardware -- cut. This is expected when you let a thousand flowers bloom. The garden gets overrun. Think about how much OpenAI had going simultaneously. ChatGPT, Sora, a whole social video feed, a web browser, camera glasses, a smart lamp, Codex, an enterprise platform. Meanwhile Anthropic basically just made Claude really fucking good at coding. That's it. And it's working -- Claude Code is eating into Cursor, Copilot, all of it. OpenAI's enterprise pipeline is leaking and they know it. Google doesn't have this problem btw. They've got the compute, the data, the distribution -- Gemini can do text, code, video, audio and they don't have to choose. OpenAI kind of tried to be both Google and Anthropic at the same time and didn't have the resources for either. So now they're pulling back to ChatGPT and Codex. Makes sense honestly -- ChatGPT is still the most recognized brand in AI and Codex is where losing to Anthropic would actually kill their business. But it's basically an admission that the "build everything" era is over. Oh and the Disney thing is wild. Bob Iger put $1 billion into OpenAI -- in stock warrants, not cash -- and licensed Mickey Mouse and Cinderella for Sora. That was December. Three months later the partnership is winding down and the product is dead. The interesting part though -- the Sora team isn't getting laid off. They're being redirected to world models and robotics. Which makes sense if you think about it. There's immense competition in video generation right now -- China is running circles around everyone. But being foundational architecture for robotics? That's far more strategically valuable. The product is dead but the research lives on -- and world models for robotics is a way bigger market than a video toy that got nuked by its own guardrails. But man does it sting to be Disney today.

In the age of AI, even rest feels like falling behind. The machines don't pause, so switching off starts to feel like a risk.

UPI continues to be the most important piece of financial infrastructure in our country, and every change keeps making @NPCI_NPCI has now announced higher transaction limits on UPI for key categories like capital markets, insurance, travel, government marketplaces, credit card repayments, collections, jewellery and even digital account funding. The new limits go up to ₹5 lakh per transaction with daily ceilings as high as ₹10 lakh in some cases, applicable for verified merchants. P2P limits remain unchanged. This is a big shift in how UPI will be used going forward. For the first time, high value spends like IPO investments, insurance premiums or even jewellery purchases can move seamlessly on UPI. What’s also interesting is the impact this will have on Credit on UPI. With larger transaction sizes now enabled, credit usage through UPI is bound to rise, further accelerating adoption of UPI-linked credit cards and RuPay credit on UPI. UPI started out solving for small everyday transactions. Today, it’s expanding to become the infrastructure for every kind of money movement - retail, online and now credit and high-ticket. A true testimony to how India is leading the world in building digital payment rails that are simple, safe and massively scalable. And we at @Razorpay will continue doing the last mile work to bring this to every single business and consumer in the country.

Shouldn't Google Maps now be able to identify every time a car gets up on a speed breaker or down in potholes and mark such? Maybe the local governing authorities can get such data and help improvise! What say @googlemaps & @mybmc?
