One of Salah's biggest achievements at Liverpool was making Slot look good last season.

This encapsulates what the eye-test has told us since about Jan/Feb -25, it’s been a downward trajectory in performances and underlying numbers. What’s even more worrying is that the xG for this season is flattering Liverpool because it’s often made up of alot of low quality efforts that accumalated might look like enough xG to win but in reality it’s made up of quantity and not quality - this team has major issues with creating enough big chances to put teams to bed.
Spencer Mossman@fc_mossman

📊 Liverpool under Arne Slot The international break seems like a good time to revisit this. In the past two months since the original post, pts/match have been slightly below performance level relative to xG differential. What hasn't changed is that the entire season, Liverpool has operated at about the level of a fringe UCL or solid UEL team - the 5th best in the league. At this point it is just the reality of the situation.

@AnfieldSector The time taken to make a decision is surely irrelevant if the wrong choice has been made. We have had a pretty awful season indeed the decline started well before the end of last. Delaying a decision out of stubbornness might ultimately damage next season. That has to be a factor

@tizlad When do think Henry,Gordon and co in Boston wake up and realise the last decade was built off the back of a genius manager and not Data nerds.Dont forget the mess of a squad Klopp picked up was partly due to Edwards.

Possibly the first signs of a public split in the camp, if so once that happens it generally should mean the end of the coach, however with the with Hughes and Edwards making the decisions, then it's still highly unlikely to happen #LFC

Virgil van Dijk: “My initial reaction [is one of] frustration, I think I have been repeating myself lately. It is the situation. I was also surprised when I was on the training pitch yesterday [Friday] and I only saw the amount of players that I saw, but that is the situation. So yes, it is tough.”

@SimonBrundish Looking at fixtures not confident they can break 60. the lack of goals is glaring and without Mo creativity is reduced massively.

Last week's Anfield draw with Spurs - already one of the worst results of the season - is looking worse and worse by the minute now for #LFC.

LFC, Newcastle, Chelsea & Spurs are all gonna be firing their managers by the summer at the latest. With Man United maybe looking for another new manager too it'll be a mad scramble, especially with such a dearth of top coaches around. LFC need to quit fucking about and act now.

@SimonBrundish Not because of playing in Europe. The reason they’ll lose is it’s the worst Lfc side in yrs.

@adamrowecomedy I mean last season was great, but it wasn't incredible mate. He won an average league with Klopp's team. I'd swap that title for Klopp back 100 times out of 100.

@CalvLyfeson with Slot it’s a certainty to not qualify for CL so an interim be it Gerrard or anyone else is a gamble worth taking.worse they do is as bad as Slot

They definitely made some recruitment mistakes but every setup does. I'm not of the opinion they need to be ripped out. But hiring Gerrard as manager in any capacity would be a huge concern.

If they appoint Stevie, in the interim, I'd be even more concerned about the folks making the football decisions than I have been up to now. FWIW the manager they appointed after Jurgen won the league. The players they signed in the Summer are all good players.

@AdamCrafton_ Slot has purposely removed intensity from the lfc game. You lose that fitness. Plan B , for low blocks, has become plan A. No intensity, no running, no battling the 50 50s. Losing vs Man city in the Fa Cup and enjoy the 1/4 finals vs psg. That is it. Joke of a strategy.
