@doodlestein Do you have any tips for having a planning agent spec out multi hour packs of work? I find they always vastly overestimate how long it’ll take to complete work. “4-6 weeks” usually takes 90 mins. “7 days” takes around 20.

I know people get really bent out of shape by the onslaught of low-quality "slop PRs" and GitHub issues in open-source projects, but when you automate the entire process, it doesn't bother you at all. Note the 2 "Spam/nonsensical issues" that Claude closed with extreme prejudice:

@TeamYouTube @PaulyDcfc But surely if you have both you should be able to play members-only videos in the background…That doesn’t seem to be the case. Am I expected to monotask?! (Seriously though, I play far less members-only content because of I can’t play it in the background).

To clarify, channel memberships are separate from YouTube Premium. While YouTube Premium offers benefits like ad-free viewing and background play, it doesn't include channel memberships Whereas, channel memberships let you get access to perks and member-only content of a creator you want to support: goo.gle/3NzKQDp

@levelsio @ntkris It has multiplexing; just not session persistence. If you just need to split a local, single terminal window into multiple panes/slices where you can run independent terminals, it works.

I hate tmux It's so incredibly user unfriendly The shortcuts make no sense I wish someone would make a better tmux Even just logging into tmux attaching the screen is an illogical hell to type Again I hate tmux, it's so shit

@levelsio Is there a good way to jump between tmux sessions on Termius? I find it quite hard to manage multiple codex/claude sessions on the go

“Men overestimated women's desire for sexual variety and underestimated the time women required before engaging in sexual activity. Unexpectedly, women showed similar biases when estimating the desires of men”
Rolf Degen@DegenRolf

It has long been thought that men, specifically, overperceive women's sexual interest. Now it turns out that both men and women overperceive other men's and women's sexual interest. On average men tend to report more than women that they desire a greater number of sexual partners, desire faster sexual initiation, are more accepting of “sex without love”. The sex differences are culturally pervasive and among the largest in psychological sciences. [Men also tend to mistake a woman's friendly or polite behavior for sexual interest due to an evolved psychological bias aimed at minimizing the "cost" of missing a reproductive opportunity.] Although prior research has explored men's sexual over perception bias in specific contexts, we are aware of no study that has examined how men and women infer the broader, typical sexual desires of the opposite sex.We hypothesized that adaptive inferential biases such as men's sexual over-perception bias, would also be reflected in inferences about the typical sexual desires of the opposite sex. We tested the predictions that men would overestimate the number of sexual partners women desire, underestimate the time women require before wanting sex, and overestimate women's comfort with sex without love in a preregistered study [n=710]. The results provided partial support for these predictions. Men overestimated women's desire for sexual variety and underestimated the time women required before engaging in sexual activity. Unexpectedly, women showed similar biases when estimating the desires of men. We also explored same-sex mindreading and found that both men and women overestimated the sexual desired of their same sex peers. Men's overestimation aligns with the well-documented sexual over perception bias, and reflects their tendency to perceive women as more sexually receptive than they are. For women, it may be very costly to underestimate the sexual desires of men, so their overestimations also fit within an error management framework. Women's overestimations may reflect vigilance against potential sexual deception or unwanted advances. Both sexes overestimated the sexual desires of the average member of their own sex. [This may be] shaped, in part, by intrasexual competition. Overestimating the sexual desires of typical members of one's own sex could serve both as rival derogation and self-enhancement, strategically positioning oneself as distinct from rivals by implying “I'm not like other girls/guys,” and remaining vigilant against mate poaching and infidelity threats. If women perceive their rivals as more sexually unrestricted than they truly are, they may feel pressured to lower their own sexual selectivity to remain competitive in the mating market. Systematic overestimations of sexual desire across sexes may also fuel unhelpful cultural narratives, for example, that “all men are only after sex,” or that “everyone else is having sex except me.”
