@ninapaley If you had two men and one spent all the time fantasizing about becoming an alpha man and the other spent all his time fantasizing about being really pretty, and you were forced to rank-assign who is the more masculine man, what would you say? You must choose one or the other.

AGP is such a paradox. We often have very masculine energy. And yet we want to be feminine. And wanting to be feminine is a feminine trait. Most masculine men spend time thinking about how to be more masculine, whereas AGPs spend a lot of time fantasizing about what it'd be like if they were more feminine. And funny enough AGPs can also use masculine competitive energy against other crossdressers and trans women to fuel a desire to invest the time and energy in learning to be more feminine. So some AGPs can arrive at a constructed, learned form of femininity after a great deal of effort, while still neverthless being quite masculine in their thinking style, interests, proclivities, etc. And in the bedroom, the desire is often to completely let go from the masculine energy as a form of psychological release. So AGPs are often masculine men who love being feminine, and to varying degrees or another are capable of approximating feminine energy through imitation, which though initially learned and not innate can in time become habitual as a mannerism and thus become fairly entrenched in one's personality, even leading to drastic personality shifts late in life. In my own case, when I first transitioned, I intentionally studied the differences between male and female mannerisms and consciously modified my own behavior to be more flamboyant than what comes naturally to me, even studying the exaggerated mimicry of drag queens to reshape a lifetime of male-coded behavior. And it eventually these changes became habitual. But when I detransitioned, interestingly, I almost instantly reverted back to my more natural masculine mannerisms as an almost gestalt shift. It suggests that feminine and masculine energy can come from multiple places: either bottom up from innate personality dispositions likely caused by genetic or prenatal factors or top down from an autiobiographical narrative shift that motivates behavior change at the level of identity and conscious goal-setting.

@jasonrope @Martina Isn’t she saying that over 50% of the trans women who are in prison, are in prison for sexual offences? I think you’ve misunderstood her comment. You can see that, surely?

What’s more plausible? 1. Half of all trans women in the U.K. are in prison or; 2. Half of Sharron’s skull is stuffed full of cat shit?

@personna44 @mzikuo I’ve never felt a single trace of attraction to anyone male. I’m not capable of even understanding what that would feel like.

@noisy_name @mzikuo That's a contradiction my dear sister, what you mean to say is that you use your free will to deny your attraction to men that you don't feel towards women whatsoever unless the woman of attraction is man like aka masculine presenting, that your body feels towards men

@mzikuo Lesbians already like and find men attractive, some of them are very outwardly about it while others are in the closest about it and that's because no one is above the biological laws no matter what. You can deny, gaslight and whatever but you can't redefine it

@DPJHodges Is it possible that you should wait for more information before taking up this cause? The claimant it’s now reported was under 16 at the time of the allegation.

There may be other facts to come out. But if, as currently being reported, Scott Mills really has been sacked because of an offence that was allegedly committed 30 years ago, and that failed to even meet the basic evidential threshold for a prosecution, then that's insane.

@maryjanesdesk @_celia_bedelia_ It’s a women’s health condition. It’s been overlooked and its sufferers ignored because it’s a women’s health issue. The solution to that is not to dilute the truth about who it impacts. It’s to speak out clearly and explicitly about medical misogyny and its consequences.

@noisy_name @_celia_bedelia_ Again it isn't just a gynae condition. Limiting it to that is a problem. It is a full body inflammatory condition. My issue is people being nasty about what's really a non issue, finding time to be hateful and ableist but staying silent to actually help those with endo.

@maryjanesdesk @_celia_bedelia_ @HRH_SHP But surely that’s exactly why we need to continue to advocate for recognition of women’s health conditions. The fact that a gynaecological condition is overlooked because it affects women and not men is very clear evidence of medical misogyny.

@_celia_bedelia_ @HRH_SHP The irony is that limiting endometriosis as a purely gynae condition is one of the reasons why the research on it is so damn far behind. They can't even define endometriosis properly, push misinformation about the condition and then pretend they're fighting on our behalf.

@_celia_bedelia_ @maryjanesdesk Again, I think the concern here is about the impact of removing the word ‘woman’ and ‘women’ from discussions about a women’s health condition given the medical and social history of overlooking women’s health conditions. All women are people but not all people are women.

@_celia_bedelia_ @David310734 @TamsinLisa Isn’t the concern that the trans woman’s role is as a parliamentary lobbyist for the charity? She has also pushed to ‘rebrand’ endometriosis as a non sex specific condition. It seems reasonable to have misgivings about these issues.
