@JoeBalboa5 @DanKnowsSumting They're always doing the bare minimum when it comes to this franchise. FRLG+XD should be available as BOTH standalone games AND NSO releases. On top of there being HOME+ONLINE support. That would absolutely make everyone happy.

@Junksterrr Yes. But this is just a system level toggle. While the system-level update provides a "general" improvement (reducing shimmer and improving sharpness), custom patches allow developers to optimize their game's internal rendering specifically for the new algorithm.

Trying out PSSR 2 on Ghost of Yotei and oh my god, the upgrade in image quality is incredible. It’s native 4K clarity now. This is a huge upgrade over PSSR1, which struggled with shimmering issues, especially on grass. Game changer for the PS5 Pro, Fantastic update.

@AshtonKurchin @Miketrub23 That's the thing. It hasn't even been patched to take full advantage of PSSR 2 yet, so there could be even more improvements to come.
