Every year, the dumbest thing on this site is everyone loving critical draft analysis of prospects - right up until those prospects are on a team Then people act like we can no longer project their careers or level of success - the very thing we've been doing for months/years!

@nooothewall @TFG_Football @BuckyBrooks Yeah I'm sure that's the only reason. Didn't James Pearce get drafted last year? Didn't Mike Green get drafted high? Most teams don't care that much if youre good enough at important positions to win them games. He was the 42nd out of 43 QBs last year.

FYI: It’s unfair to judge a team’s draft class based on Consensus Boards. Without a thorough understanding of the team’s plans for the team, players, or scheme, it’s impossible to suggest a pick is good or bad. Teams build their draft boards based on grades that project how a player will perform or contribute within their system, the Consensus Boards and media scouting reports lack that context. Without a clear understanding of the “why” behind each pick, critics are missing some key tidbits that are critical to a full assessment. In the NFL, it takes 2-3 years to determine whether players can play or not. That’s why we should reserve judgment until we see how the players perform and how teams utilize their personnel. That’s not fun, but none of us are privy to the 32 draft boards or the schematic or personnel discussions prior to the draft. We can debate who was selected and where they were picked, but until we understand the why and see how it plays out between the lines, we are still playing the guessing game.

I don't understand how it's possible for the Bears draft strategy to be so God awful last night and then today have it be perfect where you're getting steals way lower than their consensus ranking like you're supposed to on day 3.

If you flip Malik Muhammad and Zavion Thomas, this draft class becomes a lot more palatable for the #Bears. Defensive line is still a large concern. But Muhammad was awesome value in Round 4.

@TonyKaaay @jacobinfante24 @PFSN365 Hes the only won that was bad process. Sam Roush is going to more than a 3rd string TE furing his entire rookie contract that was better than 3/4 other TEs that went ahead of him. The edge room wasn't getting better after Jacas got picked at 55

@nooothewall @jacobinfante24 @PFSN365 Taking a 7th round prospect in round 3 is an objectively bad process. Taking a TE in round 3 to be your 3rd TE when you have an elite one and a good one already over depth at edge is horrific.

I think we need to be honest with ourselves and realize that there aren’t really any defensive linemen they could take at this point in the draft (or even yesterday) that will make a legitimate impact in 2026
