Hamilton was right: he had NO POWER to defend from LEC and RUS! 🪫 LEC reached 317 km/h without slipstream or overtake mode, HAM just 307 (Lap 42) And that's nothing: LEC reached 330 when in HAM's slipstream, but the latter didn't exceed 306 when the roles inverted! (Lap 43, and RUS overtook him) Behind HAM, LEC gained 0.391s on the main straight. Behind LEC, HAM LOST 0.250s (while RUS gained 0.529s) So: -For some reason (bug?) HAM didn't have the ERS power needed to defend ❌ -RUS could overtake HAM more easily than LEC did... even though he was 0.144s further behind on the straight! 🚀 @LewisHamilton @ScuderiaFerrari @Charles_Leclerc #F1

@TruthF111 lewises only clear air laps were like 3 before his pit stop and then those where he lost too much to norris because of battery issues

@TruthF111 nah his method is just bs, he didnt remove laps where lewis had issues and because lewis was too close for him to classify him as being in clear air, he didnt count almost all of his good laps (was behind the mclarens), meanwhile leclerc was in clear air for most of his

This guy is a hater on a mission 😄 In China he 'luck corrected' Charles because Lewis was quicker and this week he forgot to do that In Australia he had 'lost motivation' cuz max got cooked and now he's back with all the motivation now that he made up some 5 tenths by max on hadjar All of these shameless data accounts need to be clowned upon at the very least There was a time when journalism and analysis brought you respect. These guys deserved to be shamed on the daily

@notoulu @SteadyHearn Which he was handed from a well timed sc. He wasn't on for anything before that. Off the pace all weekend.

@sebastianbaughh And yet he can’t beat Leclerc. Before the race the car is fine, and when he gets handed belt to add by Leclerc, magical issues appear. Last year it was the floor, this year it is battery. Accept the lashings and move on

Rumors, da confermare! Hamilton ha avuto un progressivo decadimento dello SOC perdendo man mano la capacità di ricaricare la batteria al 100% (che poi non è un 100% vero ragioni tecniche) vi semplifico la cosa. #F1 #JapaneseGp

@Captain_Alex090 @Sid_footyF1 😭😭 that is fucking nothing for battery management and it really doesnt constitute a 16 km/h loss for lewis, also charles didn’t save any extra energy, his speed on lap 41 and 42 was 329 km/h

Santi told Lewis on the radio that you are faster than Charles in the corners, you're only losing on the straights. When you look at the data, Lewis had absolutely no power there to fight. If we go back to China, when both cars had power, we saw what Lewis did that day.

@FormulaPace nah mate that second stint was good, he messed up his tyres with that look up yeah but main cause was his deployment issues, was losing around 0.5 every other lap when norris was hunting him

Hamilton’s had a strong 1st stint, seemed like he brought the tyre in well and built a nice offset. The 2nd stint however was not good - perhaps his restart was overly aggressive after passing Russell and trying to get Piastri alongside various deployment issues. With a tyre that has zero deg, taking too much from the tyre early on has a larger negative impact. Compared to if the SC never came out he’d have been able to run his own race as he did in Melbourne and focus on the tyre, something that probably helped Norris and Leclerc being able to do some laps before the SC and not take too much from the tyre early

Leclerc is only happy if he's ahead of his teammate. Look how his mood improved as soon as some luck got his way to finish ahead of Hamilton. It was like this with Sainz too. The mood in the Ferrari camp was bad whenever Sainz finished ahead.
