@AbslomD @f4micom unfortunately 6 slots on the 13" is probably impossible. It requires changing the mainboard interface, which is the one thing they can never change. (without breaking the compatibility promise)

@f4micom Having 3x changeable slots is a limitation. They need to explore combo IO ports, e.g USB-C and 3.5mm in the same card or hdmi/3.5mm. Or move to 6 slots on small and 8 slots on big. Considering MBP has 4x USB-C, SDXC, 3.5mm & HDMI.

TOML kind of sucks right now, not the language itself, but editor support. The 3 available formatters: eslint is from the JS ecosystem; taplo is on maintenance mode, no 1.1.0 support; tombi is doing a lot in terms of validation and sorting, but it's NOT configurable by design.

@Rytoxz @dxgl_org @videolan tried another qt program Okular, that one do scale correctly. you are right, this is a vlc specific problem.

@Rytoxz @dxgl_org @videolan sorry, I was measuring the wrong thing (title + menu bar height) and mistakenly thought vlc scaled correctly at 125% and 150%. you are right, vlc UI is the same size for 100, 125, 150. and another (same) size for 175 and 200%.

And we are now 2 years later, and guess what? The @Microsoft issue is still not solved… Seeing the mess around Veracrypt, @WireGuardVPN and others lately, we feel their pain…

@Rytoxz @dxgl_org @videolan I would expect win11 to do better than win10 on scaling, or at least on par. maybe your windows installation is slightly cooked? it's not too surprising given microsoft's track record :)

@Rytoxz @dxgl_org @videolan ok, I just tested on my win10 laptop, going from 100% to 200%, with 25% increments, close and reopen vlc with each increment: vlc scales correctly at every increment. my laptop screen is not 4k, but I don't think that would cause scaling behavior change.

@dxgl_org @Rytoxz @videolan then that's even weirder, VLC has always been scaling properly on windows, following the windows display scale setting. I suspect OP is expecting vlc to scale itself while the OS scale setting is either not enabled or too small.
