Given the rise in the frequency of pedestrian-vehicle incidents, pedestrian safety in Namibia is becoming a growing concern. We advise drivers to exercise caution and we urge pedestrians to dress brightly or use reflective gear to make themselves more visible to motorists.

An unlicensed driver was arrested after he struck and killed a seven-year-old boy with a white Volkswagen on Saturday as the minor pedestrian tried to cross the road in the Onethindi area of the Oniipa town, Oshikoto region. Investigations are ongoing. #namibia
