We're continuing our positive ticketing campaign this week, meeting high school students on their commute to school. Did you know? Distracted driving is a factor in 78 traffic deaths each year in BC (stat @icbc). Driving or being a passenger in a car remain a top risk for youth.

Heavy rain can reduce visibility. Drivers, turn on your headlights and taillights whenever weather is poor and visibility is reduced, slow down and increase your following distance to at least four seconds.

The River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory. It is recommended that the public avoid swift moving water, watch out for falling branches, and clear away visible debris from storm drains and gutters.
