The first of multiple planned NWRPI reintroductions for 2018 featuring White Beak Sedge (Rhynchospora alba). We have now planted it onto Risley Moss SSSI where the species hasn’t been seen in the vice county for around 150 years! Three plots have been established on the reserve

Papillose Bog-moss (Sphagnum papillosum) should be mega abundant on Greater Manchester’s bogs, but after centuries of abuse from industry and agriculture, there’s scarcely any. To help the degraded Manchester Mosses recover, we transplanted over 5 acres of the stuff today! YAY!
