Ubiquitous or ambient computing won’t be about a single device. It’s about the ecosystem of devices with overlapping or complementary sensors. In-home or on-person.

@surim0n @lennysan Ugggh in the same boat. It wasn’t clear the FCFS redemptions were independent of the subscriptions.

omg cant believe this is possible. inspired by this tweet, just tried to create a "Cursor talk to Figma MCP", allowing @cursor_ai to talk directly to @figma. For example, I ask to design a modern looking login mobil screen.
siddharth ahuja@sidahuj

🧩 Built an MCP that lets Claude talk directly to Blender. It helps you create beautiful 3D scenes using just prompts! Here’s a demo of me creating a “low-poly dragon guarding treasure” scene in just a few sentences👇

@tranhelen I’ve had similar feelings. For me, learning more about the practice of Community Organizing gave me a point of reference that contrasted my assumptions about how change can be or was achieved.

@joshm @disco_lu In the full screen use case, cursor travel may be further, but the negative effect is more or less nullified because of Fitts’s Law.

Why do so many of you want Arc sidebar on the right?! We prototyped this, but learned Sidebar on right is inefficient ergonomically bc gravity of URLs is always top-left. Long way for cursors & eyes to travel! What are we missing tho? Open-minded! (thx @disco_lu for mocks)

My thread on the government’s defence of rejecting a Senate amendment to exclude user content from Bill C-11 which featured a clear indication that user content is intentionally included in the bill. twitter.com/mgeist/status/…
Michael Geist@mgeist

The government’s final defence of its rejection of a Senate amendment to exclude user content regulation under Bill C-11 crystallizes months of actively misleading Canadians. Delivered by @SenMarcGold, it is filled with red herrings and inaccuracies. 1/7 twitter.com/mgeist/status/…

After months of gaslighting, this may be politics as usual. But to be clear: the Senate studied this issue in great detail came to the conclusion Bill C-11 regulates user content. It proposed a solution that addressed your stated goals. You rejected it. twitter.com/pablorodriguez…
Pablo Rodriguez@pablorodriguez

While the Conservative Party continues to stand up for tech giants and spread false information about Bill C-11, we will continue supporting our artists, creators, and our culture. A quick reminder about what #C11 will ACTUALLY do ⬇️

NEW: In it’s first year, @CityOfBoston’s fare free bus pilot has led to significant savings for riders—many lower income, older adults, POC & students—and much of that $$ is going to food, emergency savings. New data from mid-pilot report also confirms ridership and speed are up

Yesterday, a group of Toronto city councillors tried to redirect just 0.07% of the police budget to establishing 24/7 warming centres for homeless people so they’re less likely to freeze to death. The motion was overwhelmingly voted down. We have a truly depraved political system

Hey look: Toronto just got the six-month report from the non-police Community Crisis Support Team pilot and 78% of calls were diverted without involving police. Imagine if we gave that a $50 million raise. Instead, it's an increase of maybe $3 million*. toronto.ca/news/toronto-c…
