@MartinAslund PL-domarna tillåter för fysiskt spel. Alldeles för mycket tröjdragningar, fällningar och ren brottning som tillåts. Skulle vara bra om man rensade upp spelet, så att det handlade om teknik och taktik, inte styrka.

Yeah Nwaneri is going to farm ligue 1 like crazy, that league is just too easy for him. Couldn’t have asked for a better league for his development.

@EBL2017 Why does it matter where they xG is coming from though? If it would have been the other way around no one would have been questioning it. We’re just superior on set pieces, which makes up for the low xG from open play. 2.10 xG vs. 0,34 xG should be significant enough to win.

This sums up where Arsenal are at. Elite, but the margins remain too tight with only 0.7 xG from open play. Maximise that area and this team can win a Premier League/Champions League title. They could still do it without that improvement, but it certainly makes it less likely.

Man City signing Marc Guehi and their rivals have all lost. City: Signed a 25 year old with 4.5 seasons of Premier League football under his belt. Guaranteed starter for England at the World Cup. Brilliant character, for £20m. Absolute bargain. Arsenal: 6 points ahead, but Man City have signed 2 win-now players. One of the best wingers in the League this season and a centre back who goes a long way to fix their current injury crisis. Liverpool: The club that needed him most. A clear upgrade on Konate/Gomez etc. Failing to sign him in the summer has created a seasons worth of problems. Chelsea: Only ever made 2 appearances for Chelsea, but 4.5 years after selling him for £18m, he's bought by the most successful English club of the last 15 years when they have a deficiency of centre-back quality. For it's obvious upside for City and negative effects on their rivals, this feels close to the perfect transfer!
