It was a pleasure to publically inaugurate our ongoing "Digital Earth Maldives" project. The DE platform allows easy access to earth observation products across the #Maldives. The goal is to provide the much needed data to enable more #sustainable #development and #policy

@dr_bw Hey Bret, you can source WW3 global date here: pae-paha.pacioos.hawaii.edu/erddap/griddap… and it looks like there are a few other US sites on the main data page: pae-paha.pacioos.hawaii.edu/erddap/griddap…

Anyone know of an operational #wave model like #WaveWatch3 that maintains an up-to-date archive? As far as I can tell the WW3 archive data end May 2019.

@NZQandA ‘Nobody told me what to do’ … ‘but yeah I’m a great leader’ 🤦♂️

Good website! Just curious about the method for the calculation of tides as Hulhule seems to show slightly different data from what's on meteorology.gov.mv
Dr. Nashwan Matheen@NashwanMatheen
Excited to showcase maldivestide.mv which shows #tide forecasts for individual #islands in the #Maldives. This website was built in partnership with @Msromv as a first step in an #earthobservation project to better understand #waterlevels variations across the country

Extremely proud to share our recently published manuscript, “Continuously Updated Digital Elevation Models (CUDEMs) to Support Coastal Inundation Modeling."

@CINewsOnline Interesting read! Nice work pulling together the different sources and theories around the mistily.

If historical sources are to be believed, at least three islands in the Cook Islands have vanished into thin air. One of these, Tuanaki, is said to have submerged with all its occupants, as recently as 1842.

@0xgaut Picking up on a pattern with no knowledge of the system can result in dangerous (or hilarious) predictions

@harrinluke @WWAttribution @waikato Sorry, but quick to comment, I see these points are covered 👍Nice work! Figure 15 will take some brain power to work through.

@harrinluke @WWAttribution @waikato Any influence from La Niña and the sea surface temp anomaly we’ve had for the last few years?

A big effort from a global team (under the umbrella of @WWAttribution) to get this rapid attribution assessment of the rainfall associated with Cyclone Gabrielle across the line, just a month after the event. A few key points. 1/7

@elhunt09 @CambridgePrisms Looks like an really useful paper!

Our new paper is out, in @CambridgePrisms: Coastal Futures!
We review and detail the most promising modelling approaches to shoreline changes in response to storms and longer-term climate
change.
Check it out 😊 : doi.org/10.1017/cft.20…

@AlecTF @Ryan_P_Mulligan This looks great! Haven’t read it yet but for a while I’ve been curious about whether anyone has studied a beach where the formative energy regime is controlled by sea breeze dynamics.

New research article "Modelling beach morphological responses near coastal structures under oblique waves driven by sea-breezes" in collaboration with @Ryan_P_Mulligan . The final version can be download from here: authors.elsevier.com/a/1gi-h1M2DVKR…
