A suspect attempted to escape on a stolen moped, even throwing a helmet at officers during the pursuit! When that failed, he abandoned the moped and discarded two knives over a wall, before being safely detained by officers. He was arrested, charged and sentenced to 15 months in prison. We remain dedicated to tackling moped-enabled crime and keeping London’s streets safe.
