Just for clarity, Steam is absolutely not perfect and it would be amazing if they paid developers a bigger cut. They also need more serious competition because that always ends up better for the consumer. Epic making "Exclusives" on an open platform was a truly awful idea tho.

That's not greed. That is a buisness model that the public accepted and voted on with their wallet. It wasn't always good, it sucked for a long time. They spent time and money on it. PC gamers aren't into "exclusives". Epic went all in on it for years. 🤷♂️

Ella no era realmente libre para decidir nada. No tenía capacidad de acción para tal decisión. Demasiada tristeza, demasiadas presiones, demasiado dolor. La verdadera libertad es la libertad positiva, no la falsa libertad negativa entendida como "ausencia de coacción". Nadie la coaccionó, pero muchos la incapacitaron en verdad para tomar una decisión realmente libre. La verdadera libertad es tener poder para hacer cosas, y ella no lo tenía.

Valve is funny because they're a hyper capitalist private company who has a not-literal, but functional monopoly on PC gaming.
But their internal company policy is practically communist, where no one is forced to do anything and they just work on whatever they feel like.
Resulting in probably the best company in the world.

They’re supporting open source: Linux, Proton, Fex-Emu, etc. Valve is keeping tech free and markets accessible for all.

Epic = Pro Profits
They can BARELY even keep a platform up while handing out free AAA games.
The only reason they're still around is Fortnite paying for everything. Take away that cash cow and the company dies overnight.
Look at how much Valve pays their employees compared to Epic.
It's no contest dude.
Valve goes out of the way to make the consumer happy, Epic does not.
