Dr Rudolf Steiner
Dr Rudolf Steiner@RudolfStein2026·
The tragedy of modern education is that it trains memory but weakens the will. Dr Steiner believed this is why so many people leave school informed yet inwardly lifeless. Modern education fills the head while starving the soul. It teaches children to repeat concepts, memorize data, and pass examinations; but rarely teaches them how to become inwardly strong, creative, alive human beings. Because education was never meant to be merely technical. For Steiner, pedagogy is a moral act. Almost a sacred one. The teacher stands before the child as a representative of the spiritual world that sent the child to earth. That means the most important thing in a classroom is not the curriculum. It is the teacher’s being. The teacher’s warmth educates. The teacher’s inner life educates. The teacher’s artistic presence educates. A brilliant but cold teacher can harm the child. A less intellectual but living, imaginative, warm teacher can nourish something essential within them. Because children learn through life before they learn through abstraction. This is why Steiner warned against fixed definitions and rigid concepts. He said dead concepts paralyze the growing soul. Children need living pictures. Movement. Color. Imagination. Concepts must grow with the child like living organisms. Even writing, should arise from art. Children should first experience form, color, rhythm, gesture - only later should letters emerge from those living experiences. But modern education begins with abstract symbols detached from life. And this is why so much learning feels spiritually dead. Beauty is not separate from truth. Beauty becomes the interpreter of truth. Art awakens the will. And only an awakened will can eventually seek real knowledge freely. Without art, education may produce intelligence, but not strength. The child secretly sees through the teacher. Quoting Nietzsche, he says: “In every human being another is hidden.” This hidden child instantly knows whether the teacher truly lives what they teach. If the teacher merely reads from notes, the hidden child silently thinks: “Why should I learn what he himself does not truly possess?” And the moment that trust disappears, education stops becoming soul formation and turns into information transfer.

The repeated narrative of @jacob_maroga and others that South Africa’s power cuts were caused by a renewables push (informed by the German energiewende), at the expense of coal, misses completely what happened and, more importantly, what’s happening now. In the severe load shedding period (2019-2023) only the last couple of units of a small very old coal power station - Komati - were shuttered (most units were taken offline in prior years). And relatively modest amounts of renewables were added. But now the picture is VERY different and it’s happening under the current leadership of the energy ministry and Eskom. Look at @Eskom_SA’s chart below. South Africa’s power sector is undergoing a profound transformation with massive amounts of solar and wind being added to the grid. 2026 will be a record year for renewable energy investments and the pipeline of projects being funded and built in 2027-29 is huge, driven by economics (not any foreign ideology). This is not a fairytale. It’s reality. Much better now to focus on the urgent need for flexible resources to complement the variability of low cost renewables.

🚨💸 The City of Johannesburg owes its creditors R25,2-billion while only having cash and cash equivalents in hand of R3,9 billion. This means the City does not have the money to pay R21,3-billion Rand owed to creditors. This is the core reason behind the City’s inability to repair or maintain infrastructure, leading to consistent power and water outages, and the failure to fix breakdowns, resulting in the steady collapse of service provision across the board.

*BRITISH WRITER PENS THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF TRUMP* Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?" Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote the following response: A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump's limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don't say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it's a fact. He doesn't even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty. Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn't just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness. There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It's all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don't. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He's not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He's more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege. And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless or female – and he kicks them when they are down. So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think 'Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy' is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that: • Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and most are. • You don't need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it's impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.

This performance of this song is so perfect that no other versions can compare! Both girls are amazingly good! Everything is in the style of a bygone era: the dresses, the shoes, the hair, the makeup, the movements, the gestures, the voice, and even the timbre. Everything is just perfect!❤️

🚨ANC, ActionSA & EFF block probe into Tshwane tender scandal A DA motion to launch an urgent independent investigation into explosive Madlanga Commission revelations was voted down in Council. What are they avoiding? Testimony has already raised: • Allegations of political interference in tenders • Supply chain rules are being bypassed • Meetings to decide who benefits from City contracts • Possible unauthorised spending on security services Council previously acted on WhatsApp evidence involving the CFO. Now, when sworn testimony implicates coalition politicians, the ANC-led Tshwane coalition suddenly doesn’t want answers. This vote tells you everything - accountability is optional when it hits too close to home. Tshwane residents deserve the truth, not a coalition protecting itself. #Tshwane #Corruption #TenderFraud #AccountabilityNow #LocalGovernment #StopTheLooting @Our_DA @MYANC
